📋 Description

  • Cloudscaler Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Delivery Manager to spearhead the end-to-end delivery of complex cloud consulting engagements. This pivotal role is crucial for ensuring that our clients achieve their desired outcomes and are thoroughly satisfied with the solutions provided. You will be the linchpin in transforming client visions into tangible cloud realities, managing the entire lifecycle from initial mobilization through to successful closure and handover. Your expertise will directly impact client success and reinforce Cloudscaler's reputation as a leader in cloud transformation.
  • In this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities will be multifaceted and demanding. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding all delivery-related matters. This involves meticulously managing client expectations, providing regular and transparent progress reports, proactively escalating any identified risks or issues, and cultivating a strong, trusted advisor relationship with senior stakeholders. A significant part of your role will be leading and motivating cross-functional delivery teams, which will include talented engineers, architects, and consultants. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is expertly planned, effectively prioritized, and executed with precision, leveraging agile or hybrid delivery methodologies to maximize efficiency and adaptability. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in producing and maintaining essential delivery artifacts. This includes developing comprehensive project plans, detailed status reports, robust RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs, strategic roadmaps, and thorough governance packs, all of which are critical for project oversight and stakeholder communication.
  • You will also have the opportunity to contribute directly to client deliverables where your unique expertise can add significant value. This could involve critical tasks such as migration wave planning, designing effective cloud operating models, establishing robust governance frameworks, or planning seamless service transitions. In close collaboration with the Head of Delivery, you will play a key role in managing resource allocation across various engagements. This requires a keen eye for identifying capacity constraints and potential skills gaps early on, allowing for proactive mitigation strategies. Your involvement will extend to supporting pre-sales activities, where you will contribute valuable insights to proposals, provide accurate estimates, and participate in scoping workshops for prospective new engagements, helping to shape the future of Cloudscaler's client partnerships.
  • A core aspect of your role will be establishing and leading effective team governance structures. This includes facilitating regular retrospectives to foster continuous improvement, conducting insightful sprint reviews to showcase progress and gather feedback, and cultivating a strong culture of ongoing enhancement within your teams. You will also collaborate closely with your fellow delivery managers across Cloudscaler to ensure consistency and excellence in our delivery practices. This involves actively sharing best practices, standardizing templates for efficiency, and contributing to the development of comprehensive delivery playbooks that codify our collective knowledge and expertise. When not actively engaged in client-facing projects, you will contribute to vital internal initiatives. This could include practice development to enhance our service offerings, mentoring junior team members through our Academy program, or contributing to managed service delivery, ensuring that your skills and experience benefit the entire organization.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and impact. You will gain invaluable experience in managing large-scale cloud transformation programs within heavily regulated industries, honing your skills in navigating complex compliance and security landscapes. You will develop a sophisticated understanding of client relationship management at the senior stakeholder level, mastering the art of communication, negotiation, and strategic advisory. The role encourages a proactive and adaptable mindset, allowing you to pivot between leadership and hands-on contribution, a hallmark of successful consultancy. You will also have the chance to shape and refine Cloudscaler's delivery methodologies, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing that benefits both the company and its employees. By successfully delivering on client objectives, you will directly contribute to Cloudscaler's growth and reputation, solidifying your position as a leader in the cloud consulting space.
  • About the team and company: Cloudscaler Inc. is dedicated to fostering a high-performing culture built on openness, collaboration, and trust. We believe in creating opportunities for our people to connect, share ideas, and build strong relationships both within and outside of work. Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in our regular team socials, quarterly company days, and monthly town halls, where diverse perspectives are valued and celebrated. We recognize that each individual brings unique skills and experiences, and we are dedicated to providing bespoke learning and development opportunities. Our transparent career development pathways are designed to help you achieve your personal career goals and advance within the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of delivering cloud transformation or cloud platform programs at an enterprise scale. These outcomes must be specific, measurable, and demonstrably tied to meaningful business value, extending beyond mere delivery milestones. You will be adept at managing senior stakeholders, comfortable running steering committees, presenting to program boards, and navigating challenging conversations regarding scope, timelines, or risks. Experience working within heavily regulated industries, such as financial services, central government, defence, or healthcare, is critical. In these environments, compliance constraints, security requirements, and governance overhead are integral to the delivery model from inception. You must be comfortable re-planning and pivoting mid-engagement when policy, risk appetite, or technical direction undergoes significant changes, showcasing your adaptability and strategic foresight.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven experience producing and owning delivery reporting artifacts such as status packs, RAID logs, roadmaps, and governance frameworks, coupled with hands-on experience with delivery tooling like Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Strong consulting skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops, structure complex problems, and articulate clear, actionable recommendations, adding value beyond traditional project management.
  • A demonstrable track record of successfully delivering cloud transformation or cloud platform programs at an enterprise scale, with outcomes tied to measurable business value.
  • Confidence in managing senior stakeholders, including experience running steering committees, presenting to program boards, and handling difficult conversations about scope, timeline, or risk.
  • Experience working in heavily regulated industries (e.g., financial services, central government, defence, healthcare) and comfort with re-planning and pivoting based on changing policies or technical direction.
  • Eligibility to obtain SC clearance, with a willingness to undergo checks upon joining and potential future DV clearance.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of £70,000 - £100,000 per annum.
  • Opportunities for professional development and bespoke learning to advance career goals through transparent career pathways.
  • A collaborative and inclusive company culture with regular team socials, quarterly company days, and monthly town halls.
  • Support for obtaining necessary security clearances (SC clearance required, DV clearance advantageous).
  • Hybrid working model with a blend of remote and onsite client engagement (1-2 days/week onsite typical, up to 4 days/week for some clients).
  • Permanent, full-time employment contract.
