📋 Description

• Avanceon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design and Proposal Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lahore, Pakistan. This pivotal role is designed for an experienced engineer with a passion for innovation, a knack for research, and a strong aptitude for tackling complex challenges within the industrial automation sector. You will be instrumental in developing and delivering technically sound, cost-effective, and compelling proposals, with a strategic focus on the Middle East region.
• As a Senior Design and Proposal Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our pre-sales efforts, translating customer needs into robust, integrated automation solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire proposal lifecycle, from initial concept development and technical design to cost estimation, risk assessment, and final submission. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, and project management teams, as well as external partners such as global OEMs and subcontractors, to ensure the successful development and delivery of winning proposals.
• A key aspect of this role involves leveraging your deep understanding of industrial automation, high-level SCADA systems, and power control technologies. You will be responsible for creating detailed technical specifications, system architectures, and project execution plans that align with customer requirements and Avanceon's best practices. This includes integrating various systems and ensuring seamless interoperability, often involving complex subcontractor and third-party system integrations.
• You will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of our sales teams by providing expert technical support and developing innovative, customer-centric solutions. This involves not only responding to tenders but also proactively identifying opportunities, developing penetration strategies for key accounts, and contributing to the overall market share growth of Avanceon in the Middle East.
• Your commercial acumen will be as important as your technical expertise. You will need to possess a strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions, be adept at negotiating with customers, and maintain a high level of commercial awareness. This includes ensuring all proposals comply with Avanceon's policies, business conduct standards, and OEM ethical and legal requirements.
• The role demands a strategic approach to pre-sales, focusing on mitigating risks and minimizing potential impacts on project execution. You will be expected to diagnose, document, and solve customer problems, validating proposed solutions with the actual value they deliver and crafting compelling value propositions. This requires a proactive mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to extract and validate key performance indicators.
• Collaboration is central to success in this position. You will work effectively with international teams, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication channels. Managing stakeholder relationships tactfully and efficiently, both internally and externally, will be critical to navigating complex projects and achieving business objectives.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of integrated systems and tools that enhance departmental efficiency and support our global technical teams. This includes aligning the team with all internal key stakeholders and ensuring the timely completion of tasks within agreed timelines, demonstrating strong project management and organizational skills.
• You will be responsible for executing all international bids and proposals with meticulous attention to detail, aiming to minimize risk in all outgoing bids. This involves proposing comprehensive Turn-Key solutions for industrial automation projects, working closely with global OEMs to proactively track Capital Expenditure (Capex) programs, and ensuring user specifications are met.
• Leading the effort for detailed Capex Sales plans related to automation solutions and services will be a significant part of your contribution. Analyzing key accounts, developing effective penetration strategies, and executing tactics to increase market share are essential components of this role. Your ability to understand market dynamics and competitive landscapes will be vital in driving Avanceon's success in the region.
• Ultimately, as a Senior Design and Proposal Engineer, you will be a key driver of Avanceon's growth and reputation as a leading system integrator, contributing to cutting-edge solutions that empower industries to achieve their productivity and optimization goals.

🎯 Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 8-12 years of experience in Proposal Development, Industrial Automation, power control, or a related industry.
• Proven experience in estimation for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process control systems.
• Fluency in both written and verbal English, with strong business writing and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in customer interaction and stakeholder management.
