• • As a Senior Developer Advocate at Okta, you will be a pivotal figure in empowering the global developer community. Your primary mission will be to shape and deliver compelling, deeply technical content and experiences across a variety of in-person and digital channels. This role goes beyond traditional technical communication; you will be an influencer, a trendspotter, and a key contributor to enhancing the overall developer experience with Okta's identity and access management solutions, particularly within the Auth0 platform.
• • You will play a crucial role in executing a comprehensive developer advocacy strategy. This involves identifying key channels, strategic events, and valuable partnerships that will maximize developer engagement and drive adoption of Okta's technologies. Your efforts will directly contribute to Auth0 becoming the customer identity and access management (CIAM) provider of choice for developers building applications of all sizes.
• • A significant aspect of your role will be to champion best practices and foster a vibrant developer ecosystem. You will actively engage with technical communities, both online and offline, to build relationships, understand their challenges, and advocate for their needs within Okta. This requires a proactive and empathetic approach to community building.
• • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Developer Content, and Developer Marketing. Your insights and feedback will be instrumental in shaping product development, improving SDKs, refining documentation, and ensuring that Okta's offerings truly resonate with the developer audience. You will act as the voice of the developer within the organization.
• • A key responsibility is to proactively identify and solve complex technical challenges faced by developers. This involves not only understanding these challenges but also developing and delivering innovative solutions and digital content that address them effectively. Your technical acumen will be essential in translating intricate concepts into accessible and actionable resources.
• • You will be responsible for cultivating and growing relationships with developers and technical leaders. This includes actively participating in online forums, social media, and other digital platforms to foster dialogue, provide support, and build a strong community around Okta's products.
• • Inspiring developers at events is a core function. You will represent Okta at industry conferences, meetups, webinars, and other speaking engagements, delivering engaging presentations, participating in panels, and sharing your expertise to a broad technical audience.
• • You will advocate for developers' needs and pain points within the Auth0 product unit, acting as a bridge between the community and the product teams. Your feedback will directly influence the developer experience and drive improvements in our platform and tools.
• • Collaboration with Product and Engineering/Technical teams will be constant. You will serve as a key representative of the Developer-Led Growth team, ensuring that developer perspectives are integrated into the product lifecycle.
• • You will contribute to the development and launch of new capabilities by reviewing early documentation, SDKs, and product features from a content and developer experience perspective. This ensures that new releases are developer-friendly from day one.
• • You will bring valuable insights and developer feedback back into the company, informing product strategy and roadmap decisions. An emphasis will be placed on how content can effectively address these insights and support developer success.
• • You will collaborate on the development and execution of content strategies designed to effectively reach and engage developers. This includes identifying the most impactful content formats and distribution channels.
• • You will develop and share high-quality technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, comprehensive documentation, engaging videos, and practical code samples. Your ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content will be paramount.
• • You will be at the forefront of emerging trends, particularly in AI, and will be expected to create content and engage with developers around these cutting-edge technologies, including AI tooling and vibe coding experiences.
• • This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for developer engagement and adoption, ensuring that Okta's solutions are understood and utilized effectively by developers worldwide.
