Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect, run, and continuously improve Cyderes’ global managed cloud environments that protect Fortune-1000 clients from today’s relentless threatscape. You will own the reliability, scalability, and security posture of multi-cloud platforms spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring 99.9 %+ uptime for critical MDR, IAM, and exposure-management services.
- • Lead high-impact initiatives to harden system reliability—from chaos-engineering experiments to automated failover orchestration—while reducing MTTR to minutes. Your work directly translates into faster threat containment and measurable risk reduction for customers.
- • Troubleshoot and remediate complex automation issues across CI/CD, container, and big-data pipelines. You will dive deep into Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and custom operators to isolate root causes, implement fixes, and prevent recurrence through durable code and runbooks.
- • Maintain and evolve production-grade Kubernetes clusters that process petabytes of security telemetry daily. You will tune resource quotas, optimize autoscaling policies, and enforce Pod Security Standards to keep clusters resilient under extreme load spikes.
- • Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and brown-bag sessions. Your guidance will uplift team velocity, reduce onboarding time, and cultivate a culture of relentless improvement.
- • Partner with Engineering Leadership to translate product roadmaps into executable infrastructure epics. You will balance feature velocity with operational excellence, ensuring every release meets strict security and performance SLAs.
- • Drive internal and external user outreach by authoring technical blogs, speaking at meetups, and contributing to open-source projects. Your thought leadership will strengthen Cyderes’ brand and attract top-tier talent.
- • Collaborate with software, data-science, and threat-intel teams to streamline CI/CD processes—from GitHub Actions workflows to ArgoCD-driven GitOps—cutting deployment lead time by 50 % while maintaining zero-downtime releases.
- • Participate actively in architecture and roadmap meetings, presenting data-driven proposals that influence multi-million-dollar platform investments. Your insights will shape the next generation of AI-augmented security services.
- • Document and standardize engineering procedures in Confluence, creating living playbooks that accelerate incident response and empower on-call engineers worldwide.
- • Design, code, and maintain automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Go) that provisions and supports cloud infrastructure at scale. Your modules will be reused across environments, slashing provisioning time from days to minutes.
- • Contribute to MVPs and PoCs for emerging tooling—service meshes, confidential-compute enclaves, eBPF security sensors—evaluating feasibility, cost, and security trade-offs before full-scale adoption.
- • Engage fully in Scrum ceremonies, refining user stories, sizing complexity, and ensuring sprint commitments align with customer value and operational risk.
- • Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation, owning production incidents end-to-end, from alert acknowledgment to post-mortem. You will champion blameless culture and actionable retrospectives.
- • Conduct rigorous code reviews to enforce high-quality standards, security best practices, and knowledge sharing across distributed teams.
- • Apply cybersecurity best practices at every layer—network segmentation, IAM least privilege, secrets management, vulnerability scanning—to safeguard Cyderes applications and client data against evolving threats.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Software Engineering roles with production cloud responsibilities.
- • Expert-level proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker, including Helm, kubectl, and cluster-level debugging in multi-tenant environments.
- • Demonstrated mastery of Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform plus at least one configuration-management tool (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or Chef).
- • Strong practical knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP services, security controls, and cost-optimization strategies.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with flexible hours across North American time zones.
- • Competitive salary and annual performance bonus tied to customer security outcomes.
- • Annual professional-development stipend for certifications, conferences, and advanced training.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage plus employer-paid life and disability insurance.
