- • As a Senior DevOps Engineer at SonicWall, you will be at the forefront of shaping and implementing our cloud-based services, playing a pivotal role in every facet of their lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on establishing robust solutions for building, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure of our cutting-edge cloud platforms. We operate under a true DevOps model, where Development and Operations teams are seamlessly integrated, enabling daily continuous deployments. This collaborative approach ensures that teams work together cohesively throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from initial development and deployment to ongoing operations and optimization.
- • You will be instrumental in developing sophisticated solutions for the automated deployment of our software and services onto our production infrastructure, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This involves creating and refining deployment scripts, pipelines, and configurations to ensure speed, reliability, and consistency.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to shape how our mission-critical enterprise software solutions are developed and deployed. You will design, implement, and maintain optimized and automated CI/CD pipelines that are crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, stable products to our customers. This includes selecting and integrating the right tools and technologies to streamline the development and release process.
- • You will actively contribute to the design, build, and support of infrastructure and security technologies within the cloud environment. The goal is to create a resilient, observable, and cost-optimized platform that can scale effectively and meet the demands of our global customer base. This includes implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- • Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with development teams to facilitate the smooth integration of new features and services into our production environment. This partnership ensures that new code is deployed efficiently and without disruption.
- • You will develop and implement advanced management solutions for overseeing services across multiple cloud platforms and data centers. This requires a strategic approach to infrastructure management, ensuring consistency and control across diverse environments.
- • As a senior member of the team, you will play a crucial role in mentoring other team members. This includes guiding technical decision-making, conducting thorough code reviews, and consistently enforcing cloud engineering best practices and established standards to maintain a high level of technical excellence.
- • You will collaborate closely with your peers, system architecture teams, other engineers, and product management to strategize and execute the migration of existing applications to AWS. This involves understanding application dependencies, performance requirements, and security considerations.
- • You will actively participate in the planning of future work, identifying areas for improvement within our existing processes and infrastructure. This proactive approach helps us stay ahead of technological advancements and operational challenges.
- • You will be responsible for performing thorough technology evaluations and selections, researching and recommending new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can enhance our DevOps capabilities and overall platform performance. This includes staying abreast of the latest trends in cloud computing and DevOps.
