  • • As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Karbon, you will play a pivotal role within the Platform Engineering team, instrumental in shaping and maintaining the robust infrastructure, cutting-edge tooling, and sophisticated automation that empowers Karbon’s diverse engineering teams. This position is crucial for enhancing our deployment workflows, ensuring the unwavering reliability of our cloud platform, and elevating the operational visibility across our entire ecosystem. You will be a key contributor to Karbon's mission of providing an award-winning, AI-powered practice management software that drives efficiency and collaboration for accounting professionals worldwide.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end lifecycle of our infrastructure and deployment processes. This includes the meticulous building, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, leveraging tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins to guarantee reliable and seamless production releases. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and CloudFormation, ensuring automated and consistent provisioning of our cloud resources. Furthermore, you will support our configuration management strategies with tools like Chef, and manage containerized workloads utilizing Docker and Azure Container Apps, ensuring scalability and efficiency. A significant part of your role will involve building and maintaining our sophisticated monitoring, alerting, and observability systems, employing tools like Datadog and OpenTelemetry to provide deep insights into system performance and health. You will actively monitor the security posture, performance metrics, and overall availability of our infrastructure and applications, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues. Your expertise will be called upon to investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and platform-related incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to our services. You will collaborate closely with various engineering teams, guiding them in the safe and efficient deployment of infrastructure changes, and contributing significantly to our disaster recovery strategies, environment management, and overall operational resilience. Additionally, you will play a role in cloud cost optimization initiatives, ensuring our infrastructure is both performant and cost-effective. As part of a team, you will participate in an on-call roster rotation, providing essential operational support for the platform. Your close collaboration with Engineering and Product teams will be vital in implementing effective DevOps solutions and continuously improving developer workflows, fostering a culture of efficiency and innovation.
