• • Own the future of cloud infrastructure at Abacum. As our Senior DevOps Engineer you will architect, build and scale the AWS-native platform that powers the most advanced FP&A AI solution on the market, directly impacting how thousands of finance professionals at companies like Strava, Kajabi and JG Wentworth plan, forecast and drive strategic decisions every day.
• • Lead the charge in transforming our infrastructure from "works" to "world-class". You will design and implement systems that are efficient, scalable, accountable and secure, ensuring 99.9 % availability for customers across five continents while our user base doubles quarter-over-quarter.
• • Be the force multiplier for 40+ engineers. Build a DevOps culture and self-service tooling that lets product teams ship features autonomously while automatically inheriting best practices for security, observability, performance and cost optimisation. Your pipelines will be the invisible super-power behind every pull request.
• • Run large-scale Kubernetes like clockwork. You will manage and scale our EKS clusters, optimise workload placement, implement cluster autoscaling and fine-tune resource requests so that our AI models and real-time analytics run faster, cheaper and greener.
• • Turn data into uptime. Develop and drive real-time observability solutions using Datadog (or similar) that give every engineer a crystal-clear view of system health, from high-level SLOs to low-level JVM metrics, and empower on-call heroes to resolve incidents in minutes, not hours.
• • Make security a first-class citizen. Partner with our security and compliance team to embed guardrails into every stage of the SDLC—from Terraform policy-as-code to container image scanning—so that SOC 2, ISO 27001 and customer audits become a non-event.
• • Automate everything, question anything. Use Python, Bash and GitHub Actions to eliminate toil: one-click environments, zero-downtime database migrations, cost anomaly alerts and self-healing jobs. If it happens twice, you script it; if it hurts, you fix it.
• • Share your craft. Provide technical guidance, run internal workshops and write runbooks that turn tribal knowledge into living documentation. You will mentor mid-level engineers and help shape our long-term infrastructure roadmap.
• • Keep calm and carry the pager. Participate in a fair, follow-the-sun 24×7 on-call rotation with automated runbooks, SLO-based alerting and blameless post-mortems that turn incidents into learning gold.
