Senior Director AI/ML Innovation Strategy

📋 Description

• • Lead the Innovation Strategy team within the Global Innovation Office to accelerate cross-company innovation by identifying, shaping, and advancing high-impact AI/ML use cases that leverage shared capabilities across business units.
• • Partner directly with business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and validate innovation opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and measurable business value.
• • Manage the end-to-end innovation pipeline from initial concept and ideation through prototype development to successful business handoff and commercialization.
• • Showcase GIO innovations internally to Unisys leadership and externally to strategic clients to build awareness, drive adoption, and reinforce Unisys’ market positioning in AI and emerging technologies.
• • Translate technical progress and business outcomes into compelling innovation narratives that enhance executive communications, marketing messaging, and responses to industry analysts.
• • Develop and maintain robust business cases that articulate ROI, cost-benefit analysis, and value realization for AI/ML-driven initiatives.
• • Lead program-level initiatives across multiple workstreams, coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering, product, sales, and legal to ensure seamless execution.
• • Drive collaboration and alignment among diverse stakeholder groups, including senior executives, technical teams, and external partners, to overcome organizational silos and enable innovation at scale.
• • Apply deep knowledge of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to solve real-world business problems, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with market demands.
• • Maintain a track record of successfully delivering measurable outcomes from innovation initiatives, with clear evidence of impact on revenue, efficiency, or customer experience.
• • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to non-technical audiences, focusing on business problem-solving and strategic value rather than technical detail.
• • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on innovation trends, competitive threats, and opportunities arising from AI and emerging technology landscapes.
• • Ensure all innovation activities comply with applicable U.S. export control regulations and associated government authorization requirements.
• • Contribute to shaping Unisys’ long-term innovation strategy by integrating insights from industry trends, client feedback, and internal capabilities.
• • Champion an inclusive and collaborative innovation culture that empowers teams across geographies and business units to contribute to and benefit from the innovation pipeline.
• • Represent Unisys in external forums and client engagements as a thought leader on AI innovation strategy and responsible technology adoption.
