• • Amplify Education, Inc. is seeking a visionary Senior Director, AI Transformation to spearhead the strategic integration and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across its K-12 educational platform. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), will lead an internal AI team and collaborate extensively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Business Systems Product Owners, functional leaders, Engineering, and Research teams. The core mission is to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact AI initiatives that deliver tangible improvements in productivity, operational efficiency, and overall business value.
• • As the AI Transformational Leader, you will be instrumental in evaluating and deploying both off-the-shelf AI solutions and custom-built applications. Your leadership will foster a culture of AI literacy throughout the organization, ensuring that teams understand the capabilities, potential, and ethical considerations of AI. You will be responsible for establishing robust governance frameworks to manage AI-specific risks, including data privacy, security, and ethical implications, ensuring all initiatives align with enterprise strategy, risk standards, and long-term technology architecture.
• • A key responsibility involves serving as an internal AI champion, initiating and leading iterative discovery engagements. These engagements will focus on assessing current business processes, identifying opportunities for AI-driven enhancements, and developing actionable recommendations and solutions. You will also be tasked with evaluating the AI vendor landscape and staying abreast of emerging technologies to determine their feasibility and alignment with Amplify's strategic business objectives.
• • You will manage a dedicated team of AI technical business analysts, a technical lead, and other support resources, such as consultants and contractors, ensuring the successful achievement of both departmental and enterprise-wide objectives. This includes establishing and managing an enterprise AI intake and prioritization framework that is seamlessly integrated with broader technology initiatives.
• • Leading the decision-making process for prioritizing major AI initiatives will be crucial, ensuring transparency and clear communication with senior business and technology leaders. You will work closely with Business Systems Product Owners and other business leaders to align quarterly roadmaps with AI initiatives. This involves identifying potential overlaps, conflicts, and constraints, and ensuring that resources, schedules, and objectives are clearly understood, risks are proactively mitigated, and friction between teams is minimized.
• • A significant aspect of this role is partnering with Engineering and Research & Measurement teams. You will leverage senior AI engineers to explore and develop potential technical solutions, evaluating options such as purchasing off-the-shelf products versus custom development. Where appropriate, you will collaborate with engineering on the design, development, and optimization of AI-based solutions, ensuring they meet Amplify's technological standards and architectural best practices.
• • You will develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise AI literacy strategy, equipping leaders and teams with essential knowledge of AI capabilities, associated risks, and best practices for implementation. Furthermore, you will establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to rigorously measure the success of implemented AI solutions against their projected returns on investment (ROI).
• • Ensuring that all selected and implemented technologies align with Amplify’s established technological standards and meet or exceed architectural best practices, security policies, and privacy procedures is paramount. Your decisions must support both the current and long-term strategic goals of the company, driving innovation while maintaining operational integrity and compliance.
