Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As Senior Director of Brand & Communications at Fieldguide Inc., you will own and scale the company’s brand across positioning, narrative, visual identity, and customer proof, ensuring the brand clearly communicates what Fieldguide does, who it serves, and why it matters in the evolving landscape of audit, cybersecurity, and financial trust. This role is pivotal in translating complex product value into simple, credible messaging that resonates with risk-aware professionals and drives market adoption.
- • You will evolve Fieldguide’s brand positioning, messaging architecture, and narrative to reflect its mission of enabling trust in global commerce through automation of assurance and audit work, ensuring consistency across website, product storytelling, sales materials, and campaigns while translating technical value into clear, concrete language for buyers and practitioners.
- • You will own the visual identity and brand system, setting creative direction for campaigns, product launches, and core assets, and ensuring high-quality execution across design, copy, and external agencies to maintain a cohesive and compelling brand presence.
- • You will oversee brand content strategy including website, core messaging, and long-form content, partnering on practitioner-focused thought leadership tied to AI in audit and advisory, and ensuring content supports both brand credibility and revenue goals.
- • You will build a strong customer advocacy engine through case studies, stories, and proof points, elevate Fieldguide’s market presence with credible narratives, and partner with Sales on brand-aligned pitch materials and storytelling to strengthen trust and conversion.
- • You will lead and develop a small, high-impact brand team, setting clear priorities, standards, and feedback loops, managing agencies and freelancers as needed, and fostering a culture of ownership, excellence, and collaboration aligned with Fieldguide’s values.
- • You will work in close partnership with Product Marketing, Demand, Sales, and Product teams to ensure brand strategy is integrated into go-to-market execution, translating insights into action that supports both market education and revenue growth.
- • You will have the opportunity to help define and scale a product category in vertical SaaS, leveraging your experience in early-scale to category-leadership transitions to shape how audit and advisory professionals perceive and adopt AI-driven trust solutions.
- • You will deepen your expertise in marketing to regulated, risk-aware professions, gaining hands-on experience explaining AI value in practical, outcome-based terms while navigating buyer skepticism and building trust in emerging technologies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience helping define, create, or scale a product category, not just operating within an established one.
- • Track record of building brand systems and narratives that scale with the business, including direct involvement in category positioning, narrative development, and market education.
- • Senior leadership experience in B2B SaaS brand, content, or product marketing, with a history of close partnership with Product, Sales, and Executive teams.
- • Background in vertical SaaS with a clear understanding of industry-specific buyers and workflows, preferably in regulated or risk-aware professions such as audit, cybersecurity, or financial services.
- • Hands-on experience marketing AI-driven products or platforms, with demonstrated ability to explain AI value in practical, outcome-based terms and navigate buyer skepticism related to AI adoption.
- • Comfort operating in environments with incomplete information and evolving strategy, with a high bar for quality and a bias toward shipping.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive compensation packages with meaningful ownership (equity) in a high-growth startup backed by top-tier investors including Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Y Combinator.
- • Flexible PTO and flexible work schedules, supporting work-life balance in a remote-first culture.
- • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution.
- • Wellness benefits to support physical and mental health.
- • Technology and Work-from-Home reimbursement to ensure a productive home office setup.
- • Opportunity to work with a values-driven, inclusive team that emphasizes fearless innovation, speed with excellence, lovable experiences, ownership mindset, win-win partnerships, and inclusive collaboration.
