  • • The Senior Director, Client Engagement will lead consulting services across all aspects of pharmacy benefits for Brown & Brown’s National Pharmacy Team (NPT), supporting health plan clients in optimizing pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) contracts and driving cost-effective, transparent solutions.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing client deliverables and project implementation, conducting quarterly client reviews, managing client issues, leading vendor management activities, developing project plans, coordinating RFPs and renewals, mentoring and training client engagement teammates, analyzing pharmacy utilization and financial data, providing data-driven recommendations, peer reviewing analyses, coordinating with PBMs and vendors for data acquisition, and supporting organic growth through upselling and cross-selling pharmacy and non-pharmacy services.
  • • The NPT is a team of 200+ teammates across Brown & Brown, including pharmacists, client service representatives, actuaries, analysts, data engineers, developers, and care team coordinators, organized into three specialized teams: Pharmacy Consulting and Analytics, Auditing, and PillarRx Copay Maximization, all committed to transparent PBM contracts and improving client health outcomes.
  • • In this role, the individual will develop strategic expertise in pharmacy benefit management, enhance leadership and mentoring capabilities, deepen financial and analytical skills in healthcare data, drive measurable client value through contract optimization, and contribute to organizational growth by expanding service offerings across Brown & Brown’s enterprise.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree
  • • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role with healthcare or pharmacy benefit management experience
  • • Robust project management, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • • Experience with consulting or Pharmacy Benefit Management preferred
  • • Strong technical background and proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Planning
  • • Proficient critical thinking and self-starter attitude with ability to work independently or in teams
  • • Very detail-oriented with ability to self-prioritize
  • • Ability to travel, including overnight, as needed for client meetings/functions
