  • • As a Senior Director of Human Resources at Vision Service Plan (VSP), you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the company's people strategy, ensuring alignment with overarching corporate objectives and legal compliance.
  • • This pivotal role involves the strategic development, implementation, and ongoing management of a comprehensive network of HR policies, programs, and services designed to foster a thriving and compliant work environment.
  • • You will serve as a key strategic business partner, collaborating closely with various business units and leaders to ensure the effective delivery of HR services that directly support and drive business success.
  • • Your responsibilities will span critical HR functions, including organizational design and effectiveness, leading change management initiatives, fostering positive employee relations, strategic workforce planning, talent management, and robust performance management systems.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves establishing and nurturing strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, as well as effectively communicating with external clients and executive management as required.
  • • You will be tasked with overseeing workforce planning for specific business lines or regions, ensuring that all recruitment, hiring, compensation, promotion, and termination processes are conducted in strict adherence to company policies and the labor regulations of each respective location.
  • • A core duty is to ensure the consistent implementation and execution of performance management programs and procedures, including the diligent application of performance appraisals and the development of performance improvement plans.
  • • You will be responsible for implementing and executing employee relations programs and practices that cultivate a positive organizational culture and empower management effectiveness, all while adhering to corporate guidelines.
  • • This includes managing employee complaint procedures and overseeing employee welfare programs to ensure a supportive and equitable workplace.
  • • You will play a crucial role in identifying employee training and development needs, partnering with the Corporate Human Resources Training and Development team to design and execute impactful learning initiatives.
  • • Oversight of the implementation of consistent salary administration, compensation planning, and bonus/incentive programs, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and market competitiveness, will be a key responsibility.
  • • Ensuring comprehensive compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to EEO, Affirmative Action, ADA, FMLA, Vets-100, Immigration, and Sexual Harassment prevention, is paramount.
  • • You will monitor the performance of your direct reports, providing prompt, objective coaching and counseling, conducting thorough performance reviews, and making informed decisions regarding salary increases.
  • • Identifying and assigning appropriate resources to meet business objectives, and proactively identifying staff training needs to build a high-performing team, will be essential.
  • • Assuring effective communication channels are maintained within your unit and externally where appropriate, keeping employees informed of plans and progress, and organizing regular employee discussion sessions to foster transparency and engagement.
  • • Monitoring unit turnover, productivity, and overall performance to ensure adequate staffing levels and performance that consistently meet department standards is a critical function.
  • • You will be involved in interviewing and hiring for open positions within your unit, ensuring that the most qualified candidates are selected to join the VSP team.
  • • This role requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics to drive positive outcomes for both the employees and the business.
  • • You will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the HR function, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on all people-related matters.
  • • The ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is expected.
