- • Drive the evolution of software development practices across GE HealthCare, scaling standardized processes, scalable capabilities, and modern tools to improve quality and velocity across the entire new-product pipeline, with initial 12 months focused exclusively on IronMan integration activities.
- • Serve as the day-to-day leader of the software development Steering Committee, orchestrating priorities, decisions, and communications across engineering, quality, regulatory, product management, and commercial teams to strengthen organizational alignment and ensure clear strategic direction.
- • Define and deploy a medtech-adapted DORA metric stack to measure software performance and flow, with targets including critical security and quality patches released in under 10 days where applicable.
- • Establish a process-agile Product Requirements Document (PRD) approach that supports iterative learning cycles, clear scope control, and traceability to user and clinical needs.
- • Operationalize a process-agile Quality Management System (QMS) guided by AAMI TIR45 for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and System as a Medical Device (SiMD), aligning design controls and documentation with lean, risk-based software practices.
- • Stand up the capabilities and tooling ecosystem enabling continuous integration, automated testing, secure DevOps, Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), vulnerability management, and compliant release orchestration.
- • Act as the technical liaison across segments and platforms to ensure architectural coherence, reuse, and integration quality throughout GE HealthCare’s digital NPI process.
- • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of new practices through coaching, office hours, playbooks, and communities of practice, ensuring engagement with all teams and stakeholders.
- • Guide portfolio planning and the digital New Product Introduction (NPI) process to align release cadences and decision points with industry standards while preserving patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- • Own the plan to extend outcomes beyond the consultant engagement and IronMan pilot to sustained enterprise adoption, including change management, training, and governance.
- • Support multiple software pathways within the digital NPI process: new platforms or offerings, enhancements to current platforms, minor changes and bug fixes, and horizontal development for regulatory-cleared components not sold independently.
- • Ensure alignment of design controls, PRD, and release practices to industry norms while meeting the unique regulatory requirements of GE Healthcare’s medical software products.
- • Deliver clear, timely communications to leaders and the wider organization to ensure awareness of key objectives, progress, and outcomes across all functions.
- • Maintain focus on accelerating innovation through GE HealthCare’s Heartbeat business system, empowering teams to continuously improve and create meaningful outcomes for patients and customers.
