📋 Description

• Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of distributed storage systems, including online releases, software deployment, monitoring, and system inspections.
• Ensure the stability of block storage systems by designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions to enhance service reliability, scalability, and performance optimization while guaranteeing system SLA.
• Manage and plan resources for block storage and related systems to maximize resource efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of operational support platforms through automation, tool development, and process improvements to increase overall efficiency.
• Rapidly respond to and resolve online incidents, including identifying, debugging, and mitigating common faults, hidden dangers, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and maintain emergency response plans and fault recovery strategies to minimize system downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex storage system issues using deep knowledge of Unix/Linux internals, including filesystems and storage devices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system resilience and operational practices through data-driven insights and proactive monitoring.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Shell, Python, Go, or similar languages to automate routine operational tasks and improve system observability.
• Contribute to the design and refinement of distributed storage architectures aligned with industry best practices and scalability requirements.
• Monitor system health metrics and performance indicators to detect anomalies and prevent potential failures before they impact users.
• Stay current with advancements in distributed storage technologies and open-source systems such as CEPH, HDFS, and NAS to inform system improvements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align storage infrastructure with broader cloud and platform objectives.
• Document operational procedures, incident responses, and system configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity across teams.
• Maintain compliance with internal operational standards and security protocols while managing production storage environments.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals (filesystems, storage devices) and networking (TCP/IP, routing) or cloud systems
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting storage systems
• Experience programming in one or more of: Shell, Python, Go
• Experience with SRE practices including online releases, monitoring, and daily inspections
• Experience designing or managing large-scale distributed storage systems and familiarity with open-source systems like CEPH, HDFS, or NAS

• Base pay range of $106,100.00 to $199,300.00 per year
