Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Define how electrical scope is developed and validated during FEED phases for EPC projects.
- • Review and validate electrical inputs and equipment requirements across early-phase project packages.
- • Create repeatable, automated checks to identify inconsistencies in load assumptions, equipment specifications, and package interfaces.
- • Map sources of electrical rework in preconstruction workflows and identify root causes of delays or errors.
- • Clarify critical interfaces between electrical systems and mechanical, instrumentation, and overall project constraints.
- • Distinguish between repetitive tasks suitable for automation and tasks requiring expert engineering judgment.
- • Translate real-world electrical engineering workflows into precise product requirements for AI-driven preconstruction tools.
- • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to validate software outputs against industry standards and project realities.
- • Ensure automated checks align with industry practices for load lists, equipment requirements, and distribution concepts.
- • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in preconstruction without compromising engineering quality or safety.
- • Apply knowledge of NFPA, IEC, IEEE, or equivalent standards to validate electrical system designs and documentation.
- • Analyze cross-disciplinary dependencies to improve coordination between electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation teams.
- • Support the development of AI models by providing domain-specific validation criteria and edge-case examples.
- • Contribute to the design of workflows that empower engineers to retain control over critical decisions while automating routine tasks.
- • Participate in client and stakeholder feedback loops to refine product features based on actual field and design team experiences.
- • Document electrical workflow patterns and pain points to guide product roadmap prioritization.
- • Serve as a subject matter expert for electrical engineering processes within the AI product development lifecycle.
- • Ensure all automated validations reflect industry norms for brownfield tie-ins, constrained power systems, and hazardous area requirements where applicable.
- • Maintain alignment between software capabilities and the practical constraints of large-scale power and LNG projects.
- • Help shape the future of preconstruction engineering by bridging deep domain expertise with cutting-edge AI automation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience at an EPC, PMC, or owner operator
- • Strong understanding of FEED and early detailed design electrical workflows
- • Experience with typical downstream electrical deliverables (load lists, equipment requirements, distribution concepts)
- • Knowledge of NFPA, IEC, IEEE, or similar standards
- • Ability to spot inconsistencies across equipment requirements and vendor packages
- • Clear understanding of cross-discipline dependencies
🏖️ Benefits
- • Meaningful base + equity
- • Unlimited PTO: We believe great work requires recharging.
- • Insurance: Generous health insurance covering medical, dental, and vision.
- • Health and Wellness Budget: We provide up to $150/mo reimbursement for health and wellness spending, such as gym memberships, fitness classes, or similar.
