📋 Description
- • Join CLEAResult, a leader in driving the transition to a sustainable, equitable, and carbon-neutral energy-efficient future. We foster a people-first culture built on trust, accountability, and transparency, ensuring every employee is respected and has an equal opportunity to thrive.
- • As a Senior Energy Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering energy efficiency programs. This involves providing expert engineering calculations, conducting sophisticated building energy simulations, performing rigorous measurement and verification (M&V), and offering technical design and assistance for utility programs.
- • You will lead the design and development of technical strategies, leveraging your analytical skills to recommend and quantify energy savings, and creating comprehensive plans and reports that are crucial to the success of our client programs.
- • A key part of your role will be to author and inform technical documents and publications, ensuring the highest quality through thorough review processes.
- • You will provide general project oversight, implement quality control and assurance measures, and maintain continuous communication with customers and project teams, informing them of updates and necessary adjustments to ensure project alignment and success.
- • This position also involves supporting business development efforts, proactively identifying and pursuing new project opportunities to expand CLEAResult's reach and impact.
- • You will be responsible for calculating energy savings for projects within our programs, applying fundamental engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics.
- • You will take on key responsibilities typically associated with an Energy Engineer II, but with a senior-level scope and impact.
- • Lead critical and complex technical work within our programs, operating independently with minimal technical supervision. This includes identifying, leading, and qualifying custom/M&V projects that go beyond standard deemed savings calculations.
- • Oversee the development and configuration of energy efficiency measures within our central database, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- • Conduct ASHRAE Level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities, and author IPMVP-compliant plans and reports, demonstrating a high level of expertise in energy auditing and M&V.
- • Serve as an established and trusted technical advisor to multiple large-scale programs, providing guidance and support to program teams.
- • Deliver technical guidance and training to our program teams, particularly in areas of specialized subject matter expertise, with a strong emphasis on custom/M&V projects.
- • Become a subject matter expert in at least two significant technical areas within energy efficiency, contributing to the collective knowledge base of the company.
- • Author work papers for new energy efficiency measures, contributing to the innovation and expansion of our program offerings, with technical oversight.
- • Oversee the technical feedback process for filings, utility commission documents, and program evaluations, providing formal recommendations to program staff to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- • Develop detailed project scopes, working collaboratively with engineering management to define project objectives and deliverables.
- • Engage directly with clients and evaluators to resolve project-specific issues, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- • This role requires a proactive and resourceful individual who is resilient in the face of challenges and embodies kindness in all interactions.
- • The ideal candidate will be located in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, as the role, while remote, has specific geographic requirements.
- • You will be instrumental in shaping the future of energy efficiency, contributing to projects that have a tangible impact on sustainability and carbon reduction goals.
