📋 Description
- • Lead the Reinforcement Learning Environments (RLE) team at Handshake AI to build interactive sandboxes where frontier AI models learn to complete real-world tasks across domains like software engineering, finance, and legal research.
- • Drive the technical vision, roadmap, and execution of scalable, reliable environment systems and data generation pipelines that power model training and evaluation for top AI labs.
- • Manage and grow a high-performing engineering team of ~7, with plans to add leadership capacity including managing an Engineering Manager as the team scales.
- • Partner closely with Research, Product, and Operations to translate ambiguous research needs into clear, measurable engineering outcomes.
- • Foster a culture of ownership, speed, and engineering excellence in a fast-moving, high-impact setting shaping the future of AI data infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of engineering management experience
- • 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience
- • Strong people leadership with experience leading senior engineers
- • Proven ability to execute in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- • Systems and product mindset with background in platform/distributed systems
