- • Build and close high-impact enterprise partnerships with city governments, public transport authorities, and private mobility operators across the Western US territory, managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial outreach to contract signing.
- • Execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the unique public-sector procurement landscape, political dynamics, and multi-year funding cycles specific to Western US municipalities and transit agencies.
- • Develop data-driven business cases that demonstrate how Via’s platform increases ridership, operational efficiency, and sustainability outcomes for public transportation systems.
- • Serve as a trusted advisor to city leaders and mobility operators by guiding them through the design of future transit networks, identification of funding mechanisms, and navigation of operational and political constraints.
- • Represent Via externally in the Western US market through industry conferences, public events, and thought leadership initiatives to shape the regional understanding of modern mobility solutions.
- • Gather and synthesize on-the-ground market intelligence from city partners and operators to inform product development, strategy, and regional expansion priorities.
- • Navigate intricate public-sector decision-making processes involving elected officials, procurement teams, finance departments, and community stakeholders to secure long-term contracts.
- • Translate technical capabilities of Via’s platform into compelling commercial narratives that align with public policy goals, budgetary constraints, and community impact metrics.
- • Maintain deep knowledge of public transportation trends, funding programs (e.g., federal grants), and regulatory environments across Western US states and municipalities.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure client needs are integrated into Via’s roadmap and service delivery.
- • Proactively identify and pursue new market opportunities within underserved or emerging transit markets in the Western US region.
- • Manage a full sales pipeline with disciplined forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and deal progression metrics aligned with company targets.
- • Adapt communication style and messaging effectively across diverse audiences including technical staff, elected officials, finance officers, and community advocates.
- • Demonstrate commercial judgment by knowing when to push for deal momentum, when to pause for stakeholder alignment, and when to reframe the value proposition to maximize deal value.
- • Contribute to a culture of team success by sharing insights, mentoring junior team members, and supporting regional sales initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience in sales, business development, or strategy with a proven track record of closing enterprise, government, infrastructure, or tech-enabled services deals
- • Demonstrated success in winning complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles driven by trust, influence, and relationship-building
- • Strong analytical and storytelling abilities to convert data, policy, and customer needs into clear commercial narratives
- • Experience navigating public-sector procurement processes, political dynamics, and multi-year funding cycles
- • Ability to adapt communication style across diverse audiences including boardrooms, public meetings, and written proposals
- • Curiosity, resourcefulness, and comfort operating in ambiguous or evolving environments
