• • As a Senior Enterprise Architect at Humana Inc., you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring that our technological endeavors directly contribute to improved member experiences and enhanced health outcomes for Humana's 26 million members.
• • You will operate within the Enterprise Architecture Activation team, whose core mission is to deliver a perfect member experience by meticulously aligning business strategy with technology strategy. This alignment is crucial for the effective and efficient execution of our technology strategy and for fostering the adoption and delivery of Humana's Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, policies, and methodologies.
• • In this pivotal role, you will act as the business's advocate within IT, fostering a common understanding among business leadership, business operations, project management, IT leadership, IT architecture, and engineering teams regarding the requirements for delivering the business vision and executing an AI-enabled enterprise architecture.
• • Your contributions will be integral to achieving critical business outcomes and developing technology strategies that leverage the IT portfolio to enhance member experience, improve health outcomes, cultivate competitive advantages, mitigate operational risks, and optimize the total cost of operations.
• • A key aspect of your role will be to provide mentorship and guidance to other enterprise, solution, technology, and system architects across Humana, fostering a culture of architectural excellence and continuous learning.
• • You will be responsible for aligning AI initiatives with overarching business objectives, overseeing complex architecture projects, and shaping the organizational approach to the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence.
• • You will serve as a strong advocate for business segments within IT, ensuring that technology execution is seamlessly aligned with the overarching business strategy.
• • You will act as an evangelist, facilitating and driving the adoption and delivery of the lean enterprise architecture practice within an agile delivery framework, promoting efficiency and adaptability.
• • A continuous learning mindset is essential; you will be expected to study and gain an in-depth understanding of healthcare payer industry best practices, innovations, technologies, and trends, and to effectively communicate these insights within both the business and IT departments.
• • You will define and evangelize the enterprise AI architecture vision and roadmap, setting the strategic direction for AI integration.
• • You will lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of transformative AI solutions, driving innovation and tangible results.
• • Collaboration is key: you will work closely with business and technical teams and leadership to align and map the business vision and strategy to value streams, business capabilities, and business functions.
• • You will partner with segment and domain architects, engineers, and leadership to meticulously document the current state architecture, value streams, and domain capability models.
• • Through portfolio rationalization, you will map and document the coverage between Value Streams, Business Capabilities, and Technology Capabilities, identifying opportunities for innovation, risk reduction, complexity decrease, and total cost of operations optimization.
• • You will collaborate with technical teams and leadership to define and maintain technology strategies, including intermediate and end-state architectures, ensuring the technology portfolio effectively supports the identified opportunities and the business value defined by the business vision and strategy.
• • You will create the necessary artifacts and conditions for effective demand management, prioritization of delivery, and capacity planning, developing roadmaps that guide the execution of the technology strategy.
• • You will be responsible for creating, cataloging, maintaining, and delivering the documentation and artifacts that clearly describe the principles, standards, policies, and methodologies of the enterprise architecture practice.
• • You will facilitate and advocate for the seamless adoption and delivery of the enterprise architecture within an agile delivery framework, ensuring smooth integration and adherence.
• • You will validate that the execution of the technology strategy accurately fulfills the original intent of the business strategy and vision, ensuring alignment and purpose.
• • You will deliver a clear entry point, filter, path, and guidance for successfully navigating the architecture governance process, simplifying complex procedures for stakeholders.
• • This role requires a customer-obsessed and business-centric outlook, with the ability to understand and balance strategic and expedient views.
• • You must be driven, thorough, and self-directed, capable of leading through influence and persuasion.
• • Experience in Enterprise Architecture practice, healthcare payer domain, deep solution architecture, and hybrid/cloud architecture and migration at scale are essential for success in this role.
