📋 Description
- • Manage the complete estimating lifecycle for industrial coatings and structural painting projects, including review of drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for projects involving water tanks, oil and fuel tanks, ground storage tanks, and elevated storage tanks.
- • Develop accurate cost estimates for preservation, rehabilitation, and protective coating work, accounting for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production costs.
- • Prepare comprehensive bid packages, pricing recommendations, and proposal support documentation for US-based industrial construction projects.
- • Collaborate remotely with a US-based estimating team to align on project requirements, pricing strategies, and bid submissions.
- • Support smooth transition of estimates to operations teams by providing clear documentation, assumptions, and project-specific notes.
- • Maintain organized digital files of all estimate records, supporting calculations, and historical bid data for audit and reference purposes.
- • Apply expertise in industrial coating systems, steel preservation techniques, and corrosion protection methods to ensure technical accuracy in all estimates.
- • Interpret and apply US construction standards, specifications, and workflows relevant to industrial infrastructure projects.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines for complex, high-value project bids.
- • Focus exclusively on industrial construction environments—residential or general commercial estimating experience is not applicable.
- • Utilize specialized software including On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Togal.AI, Bluebeam, and advanced Microsoft Excel to perform takeoffs and cost modeling.
- • Ensure all estimates reflect industry-specific requirements for tank rehabilitation, fireproofing, and protective coating systems.
- • Adapt to the needs of US-based clients and project timelines while operating remotely from LATAM.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes by identifying inefficiencies and recommending data-driven enhancements.
- • Maintain strict adherence to safety and compliance standards embedded in US industrial construction protocols.
- • Participate in remote meetings and coordination calls with US-based project stakeholders to clarify scope and pricing assumptions.
- • Prioritize precision and detail in all deliverables, as errors can impact multi-million-dollar project bids and client relationships.
- • Stay current with evolving coating technologies, preservation methods, and regulatory requirements affecting industrial infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of estimating experience within industrial construction environments
- • Demonstrated experience estimating structural painting and industrial coatings projects
- • Proven expertise with tank rehabilitation, water storage infrastructure, oil and fuel tank projects, and steel preservation and protective coating systems
- • Experience owning estimates from initial review through final pricing submission
- • Familiarity with US construction standards, specifications, and workflows
- • Experience collaborating remotely with US-based teams
