📋 Description
- • Manage the complete estimating lifecycle for industrial coatings and structural painting projects, including review of plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for tank rehabilitation, steel preservation, and protective coating systems across water, oil, and fuel storage infrastructure.
- • Develop accurate cost estimates incorporating labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production rates specific to industrial preservation work.
- • Prepare comprehensive bid packages, pricing recommendations, and proposal documentation for US-based industrial construction projects.
- • Collaborate remotely with a US-based estimating team to align on project scope, pricing strategy, and compliance with US construction standards.
- • Support smooth transition of estimates to operations teams by maintaining organized files, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
- • Focus exclusively on industrial-scale projects involving ground and elevated storage tanks, structural steel coating, fireproofing, and corrosion protection systems.
- • Ensure all estimates adhere to industry-specific specifications and safety protocols relevant to critical infrastructure in the US.
- • Conduct independent analysis of project requirements without direct supervision, leveraging specialized knowledge of protective coating systems and preservation methods.
- • Maintain meticulous records of estimate variables, vendor quotes, labor productivity assumptions, and project-specific constraints.
- • Adapt estimating approaches to reflect regional variations in labor costs, material availability, and regulatory requirements for US industrial projects.
- • Participate in pre-bid meetings and clarify ambiguities in bid documents to ensure competitive and accurate pricing submissions.
- • Utilize specialized estimating software including On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Togal.AI, and Bluebeam to generate precise takeoffs and cost models.
- • Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills to build and validate complex cost models, perform sensitivity analyses, and track historical estimate data.
- • Ensure all estimates reflect current market conditions for coatings, labor, and subcontractor services in the industrial construction sector.
- • Avoid general construction estimating tasks; focus solely on industrial preservation, tank rehabilitation, and steel coating applications.
- • Remain current on evolving industry standards for protective coatings and infrastructure longevity solutions in the US.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of estimating experience within industrial construction environments
- • Demonstrated experience estimating structural painting and industrial coatings projects
- • Proven expertise with tank rehabilitation, water/oil/fuel storage infrastructure, and steel preservation systems
- • Experience owning estimates from initial review through final pricing submission
- • Familiarity with US construction standards, specifications, and workflows
- • Experience collaborating remotely with US-based teams
