• • As a Senior Field Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Migration Automation Framework. Your primary focus will be on building robust, scalable, and reliable migration solutions by integrating state-of-the-art AI Coding Agents. This role demands a blend of deep software engineering expertise, proficiency in AI/LLM integration, and a strong understanding of API gateway technologies, all while maintaining exceptional customer-facing communication skills.
• • You will be the technical bridge between Kong and our diverse customer base, interacting with stakeholders ranging from developers to executives. Your ability to represent Kong's culture and values will be as crucial as your technical prowess. Beyond driving the successful delivery of customer-facing migration solutions, you will actively collaborate with various internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and CRE, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to customer engagement.

This includes designing and building sophisticated migration solutions, meticulously addressing intricate technical challenges, and providing hands-on technical implementation assistance to both our Professional Services consultants and the customer's technical teams. You will be the go-to expert for technical guidance and problem-solving.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve actively engaging with customers throughout their migration projects. You will guide them through the installation and implementation of Kong solutions, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition. This requires not only technical expertise but also strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport.
• • You will be expected to lead customer discussions, driving outcome-based professional services engagements. This leadership extends to providing technical thought leadership on the field solutions that we develop and deploy, positioning Kong as a trusted advisor.
• • Internal collaboration is key to success. You will work closely with our Product Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams to ensure that our customers derive maximum value from their Kong solutions. This cross-functional teamwork is essential for a holistic customer experience.

• • Documentation is also a critical component of this role. You will be responsible for writing and editing technical documentation and knowledge base articles that support the solutions you develop, ensuring knowledge transfer and ongoing support.
• • This role is based remotely within the Eastern half of the United States, offering flexibility while requiring occasional travel to customer sites and Kong locations as needed.
