  • • As a Senior Finance & Accounting Manager at PermitFlow Inc., you will play a critical role in building and scaling the financial infrastructure of a high-growth AI-driven construction technology company that is transforming how America builds by accelerating permitting, licensing, inspections, and project closeouts for over $20B in development.
  • • You will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of PermitFlow’s financial operations during a pivotal phase of growth, directly supporting the company’s mission to reduce delays, de-risk projects, and scale confidence in the $1.6T construction industry amid a national capex supercycle in data centers, housing, factories, and renewables.
  • • Own monthly reconciliation of revenue, billing, and collections, including coordination with bookkeepers and customers to ensure timely and accurate financial close processes.

  • • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements in partnership with external counsel, adapting to evolving obligations as the company scales across jurisdictions.
  • • Evaluate and improve internal financial policies and controls, strengthening governance and reducing risk as financial complexity increases.
  • • Manage and optimize the finance technology stack, including platforms such as Stripe, Brex, Mercury, and Ramp, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • • Partner closely with founders, finance vendors, and cross-functional leaders to align financial operations with business objectives and support scalable, future-proof systems.
  • • Contribute to a mission-driven culture at PermitFlow, where financial excellence enables the acceleration of housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development nationwide.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably in high-growth startups or technology companies
  • • CPA certification preferred; audit background from a Big 4 or similar firm is a strong plus
  • • Deep understanding of revenue recognition, collections, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
  • • Proficiency with modern finance tools and platforms including Stripe, Brex, Mercury, Ramp, and accounting software
  • • Experience designing and implementing automated financial workflows and selecting AI-driven tools to improve efficiency
  • • Strong communicator capable of translating complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial audiences

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Opportunity to shape the financial foundation of a rapidly scaling Series B startup backed by top-tier investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, Y Combinator, Felicis, and Altos Ventures
  • • Direct impact on enabling faster, more compliant, and scalable development in critical sectors like housing, clean energy, and infrastructure
  • • Exposure to cutting-edge AI applications in financial operations within an innovative, mission-driven company
  • • Collaborative, inclusive work culture committed to merit-based advancement and diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • • Professional growth in a dynamic environment where financial leadership is valued as a strategic enabler of company success
