• As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be an integral part of the Commercial Finance team, taking ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for your designated business area. This role is crucial in delivering the financial plan, providing strategic financial guidance, and driving performance improvements. You will be the primary financial liaison, ensuring seamless communication between the business and the wider Finance Collective. Your responsibilities will encompass all facets of financial performance and planning, including end-to-end financial management and robust financial controls.

You will be adept at building compelling business cases, confidently presenting and debating investment choices, and leveraging data analysis to derive actionable insights. A strategic mindset, capable of considering broader business decisions, is essential. You will foster strong, trusted relationships with business leadership teams, demonstrating genuine curiosity about products, marketing, and operations, and actively engaging with the key drivers of growth and profitability.
• Your role will involve driving and optimizing commercial performance through deep engagement with product and customer strategy, pricing frameworks, scenario analysis, and delivering insightful performance analytics. You will hold business leadership accountable for achieving forecast performance, assisting them in course correction, and proactively identifying future risks and opportunities. A key responsibility will be leading the preparation of detailed bottom-up forecasts, encompassing both short and long-range planning, and collaborating closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to support the annual planning and stress-testing cycles.
• You will work collaboratively with the Treasury team to inform customer behavioural analysis and with Financial Control to determine specific accounting judgments. A significant part of your role will be overseeing the product-level pricing model framework, ensuring that pricing strategies align with established financial performance hurdles. You will be responsible for understanding and articulating actual financial performance, supporting FP&A and Investor Relations in crafting appropriate narratives for stakeholders. Furthermore, you will contribute to the overarching Monzo equity story, providing critical financial insights that shape our strategic direction.
• This position also involves supporting the development of a highly competent and motivated team of financial analysts. You will set clear objectives for their ongoing development, enabling them to effectively partner with existing and emerging business areas. You will lead business partnering efforts for your specific area, acting as a key representative of the company’s commercial dynamics to the wider finance team. 🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in financial business partnering.
• Qualified with a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong financial modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of identifying trends, issues, and recommending actionable solutions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across various internal functions to develop, prioritize, and deliver outcomes.
• Experience building business cases, presenting, and debating investment choices.
• SQL and data analysis experience, along with experience using forecasting tools.
