This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial trajectory of a dynamic business area, managing its P&L and Balance Sheet to achieve ambitious financial plans. You will be instrumental in supporting strategic financial decisions, driving performance improvements, and ensuring robust financial controls.
- • As the primary liaison between the business and the Finance Collective, you will embody the 'single point of contact' for your designated business area. Demonstrate genuine curiosity about their products, marketing strategies, and operational intricacies, with a keen focus on understanding and influencing growth levers and profitability drivers.
- • Actively drive and optimize commercial performance by deeply engaging with product and customer strategies. This includes contributing to pricing decisions, conducting rigorous scenario analysis, and delivering insightful performance analytics to guide strategic choices.
- • Hold business leadership accountable for delivering against forecast performance. Proactively assist them in course-correcting when necessary and in anticipating future risks and opportunities, ensuring the business remains agile and resilient.
- • Lead the preparation of comprehensive bottom-up forecasts, encompassing both short-term and long-range planning horizons. Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to support the annual planning cycle and rigorous stress-testing exercises.
- • Partner with the Treasury team to inform sophisticated customer behavioral analysis, providing crucial financial insights. Work in tandem with Financial Control to determine and document specific accounting judgments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- • Take responsibility for the product-level pricing model framework, ensuring that all pricing strategies align with and meet the company's financial performance hurdles and objectives.
- • Analyze and articulate actual financial performance, providing clear explanations to support the FP&A team and Investor Relations in crafting compelling narratives for stakeholders.
- • Contribute significantly to the overall Monzo equity story, helping to articulate the company's financial health and growth potential to investors and the wider market.
- • Support the development and growth of a highly competent and motivated team of financial analysts. Set clear objectives, foster professional development, and ensure they are well-equipped to partner effectively with existing and emerging business units.
- • Lead business partnering efforts for your specific area, acting as a key representative of the company’s commercial dynamics and financial performance to the broader finance team and executive leadership.
- • This role requires a proactive, analytical, and commercially astute individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving financial excellence and strategic growth. You will be a key player in ensuring Monzo's continued success and market leadership.
