- • Compass Surgical Partners, a premier independent, full-service ambulatory surgery center (ASC) development and management partner, is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving financial performance across our expanding national portfolio of ASC joint ventures with leading health systems and physicians. As a key member of our finance department, you will collaborate closely with finance and operations leadership, providing critical insights and robust financial modeling to support strategic decision-making and fuel our continued growth.
- • In this role, you will be responsible for a comprehensive range of financial activities, including detailed monthly financial reporting for assigned surgery centers. This involves conducting thorough variance analysis, identifying key performance drivers, and dissecting trends in revenue, case mix, payer mix, and cost structures to articulate financial performance clearly. Your ability to translate complex financial results into actionable insights will be crucial for empowering operational leaders to make informed decisions.
- • You will play a significant part in our forecasting and planning processes, contributing to quarterly and annual projections at both the center and portfolio levels. This includes maintaining accurate financial projections, proactively identifying emerging trends, potential risks, and strategic opportunities that could impact overall financial health. Your foresight will be essential in navigating the evolving healthcare landscape.
- • A core aspect of this position involves acting as a trusted business partner to our operations teams. You will foster strong collaborative relationships with center administrators and operations leadership, gaining a deep understanding of the operational drivers that influence financial outcomes. Effectively communicating financial results and insights to non-finance stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner will be a hallmark of your success.
- • The Senior Financial Analyst will also be tasked with building and maintaining sophisticated financial models. These models will be designed to intricately link operational metrics, such as patient volume, payer mix, and utilization rates, to tangible financial results. You will also provide essential support for ad hoc analyses, evaluating the financial implications of new operational initiatives, exploring growth opportunities, and contributing to critical strategic decisions.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial reporting and processes. This includes developing and maintaining scalable reporting templates and financial models, and actively identifying opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency and data visibility as the organization scales. Your proactive approach to process improvement will be highly valued.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, contributing directly to the success of high-performance ASCs. You will be part of a team that values clear outcomes, rapid execution, and mutual support, guided by our STAR values: Service, Teamwork, Accountability, and Respect. The position is fully remote within the United States, with a hybrid option available for those near our Raleigh, NC location.
