- • Senior Financial Analyst role at Valsoft Corporation supporting financial management and reporting for portfolio companies, ensuring accurate financial results and supporting operational decision-making across a growing, acquisitive organization.
- • Prepare and execute month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation while maintaining key GL account reconciliations for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and inventory to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- • Review revenue recognition including deferred and unbilled revenue, validate financial data, investigate discrepancies, and support audit requirements to strengthen financial controls and ensure revenue integrity.
- • Perform variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), identify key drivers, translate financial results into clear insights for internal stakeholders, and support ongoing performance monitoring across business units.
- • Monitor cash flow, maintain internal tracking models, support AR/AP processes including aging reviews and vendor payments, and assist in preparation and maintenance of budgets and rolling forecasts through stakeholder collaboration.
- • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and controls, and support integration and standardization across acquired businesses to enhance operational efficiency.
- • Work within WSI Technologies, a Fluent Software Group/Valsoft company and trusted partner to public safety, law enforcement, courts, and child advocacy agencies globally, delivering innovative audio-video recording solutions since 1977 with a commitment to quality service, continuous innovation, and long-term partnerships.

- • Develop expertise in financial analysis for businesses selling both software and hardware, gaining experience with bundled solutions and inventory-linked revenue models while advancing technical skills in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel.
- • Build strong communication and problem-solving abilities by translating complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders, operating independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- • 3–6+ years of experience in accounting or FP&A with strong foundation in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
