- • Partner directly with the VP of Finance to lead and refine Omnidian’s corporate financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- • Own and maintain key components of the corporate financial model, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
- • Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts that inform executive decision-making across departments.
- • Analyze financial performance against budget and prior periods, identifying variances and providing actionable insights to leadership.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Sales, and Engineering to gather data, validate assumptions, and align financial projections with operational realities.
- • Design and implement improved financial reporting dashboards and metrics to enhance transparency and speed of decision-making.
- • Support ad hoc financial analyses requested by senior leadership, including scenario modeling, capital allocation evaluations, and investment justifications.
- • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards in all financial reporting activities.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise narratives for non-finance executives and stakeholders.
- • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate close processes that feed into corporate forecasts and reports.
- • Stay current on industry trends in distributed solar and energy storage to better contextualize financial performance and projections.
- • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to department heads, helping them understand financial implications of their plans and initiatives.
- • Participate in strategic planning sessions to align financial goals with company-wide growth objectives.
- • Maintain documentation of financial models, assumptions, and methodologies for audit readiness and knowledge transfer.
- • Proactively identify risks and opportunities in financial data and communicate them to leadership with recommended actions.
- • Support the annual budgeting cycle by coordinating inputs, consolidating data, and presenting final budget packages to executive leadership.
- • Ensure all financial outputs are delivered on strict deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- • 5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A or financial planning and analysis
- • Proficiency in building and managing complex financial models in Excel
- • Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and translate into business insights
- • Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders
