- • Embed directly with client teams to understand user needs and build custom, production-grade software solutions that address real-world product challenges.
- • Develop and extend fintech products by creating full-stack features with a backend-leaning focus, primarily using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- • Build and maintain integrations with critical financial infrastructure including payment processors, banking partners, and financial data providers.
- • Design and ship AI-powered features using LLM APIs, agentic workflows, and AI coding tools, with a default mindset of leveraging AI to accelerate development and improve quality.
- • Translate user insights and client feedback into actionable product and engineering recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Support client onboarding, documentation, and training to ensure solutions remain robust and maintainable after project handoff.
- • Act as a trusted technical partner and advocate for clients, building long-term relationships based on reliability, expertise, and clear communication.
- • Work across diverse domains including early-stage startups, venture studios, and enterprise brands such as Google, Shopify, Coinbase, and Hinge.
- • Apply AI-native practices to daily workflows, including using AI for code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation to enhance velocity without sacrificing standards.
- • Contribute to AI-driven fintech applications such as document extraction for KYC, transaction categorization, financial data normalization, and AI-powered search or chatbot systems.
- • Collaborate in a remote-first environment with a globally distributed team of senior engineers and designers, participating in knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.
- • Adapt quickly to varying tech stacks, client requirements, and project scopes while maintaining high standards of code quality and user-centric design.
- • Engage directly with clients to understand compliance and security requirements specific to financial data handling and regulated environments.
- • Participate in company-wide events, team retreats, and community-building activities designed to foster connection among Lazerites worldwide.
- • Maintain autonomy over technical decisions with minimal meetings, focusing on shipping high-impact work with ownership and accountability.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2-4 years of experience building and shipping production software, full-stack or backend-leaning
- • Comfort across a modern web stack (TypeScript, React, Node.js)
- • AI-native: build with AI by default (LLM APIs, agentic workflows, AI coding tools) and ship AI-powered features
- • Strong problem-solving skills and a builder's instinct with keen attention to detail
- • Excellent communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs to engineers, founders, and non-technical stakeholders
- • Comfort working directly with clients and adapting in a fast-moving environment
