• • This role is for a Senior Financial Systems Engineer, a hands-on technical leader who will be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing our enterprise financial platforms. This position merges the traditional responsibilities of a system administrator and business analyst, requiring a unique blend of deep accounting knowledge, expertise in OneStream and/or NetSuite development, and strong API/integration capabilities.
• • The core of this role involves exceptional ability to analyze, debug, and resolve issues within complex, often imperfect, and sometimes incomplete financial data. You will navigate and reconcile data spanning multiple systems and integrations, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a comfort level operating in real-world data environments rather than idealized ones.
• • You will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, and Engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable financial solutions.
• • **OneStream Architecture & Engineering (Primary Focus):**
• • Architect and maintain OneStream applications, leveraging Extensible Dimensionality to support intricate consolidation, planning, and reporting requirements.
• • Develop, optimize, and maintain VB.NET Business Rules for complex calculations, currency translations, consolidations, and workflow management.
• • Implement and extend OneStream Marketplace solutions, such as Task Manager, People Planning, and Account Reconciliations, to modernize and streamline the financial close process.
• • Conduct performance tuning for consolidation times and query execution, ensuring efficient system design and rigorous code reviews.
• • **NetSuite & Data Integration (Secondary Focus):**
• • Serve as the technical owner for financial data extraction from NetSuite, designing and implementing robust methods (e.g., Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteTalk) to ensure clean and reliable data feeds into OneStream.
• • Build and maintain automated data pipelines between NetSuite and OneStream using OneStream Data Management/Stage capabilities.
• • Perform technical debugging of complex data issues by analyzing system logic, including debugging NetSuite SuiteScript failures or tracing SQL transformation errors in the data warehouse.
• • **Financial Engineering & Data Analysis:**
• • Diagnose and resolve data integrity issues across disparate systems, demonstrating comfort working with imperfect data by using SQL or scripting to trace data lineage and identify root causes of discrepancies.
• • Drive automation initiatives, replacing manual Excel workarounds with system-driven logic and ensuring repeatable processes are automated.
• • Act as a crucial liaison between Engineering and Finance teams, translating high-level accounting requirements (e.g., "fix FX translation") into precise technical specifications.
