- • Lead and develop Northstar’s client-facing CFO function across multiple engagements, managing, coaching, and mentoring CFOs and senior finance leaders serving clients.
- • Own Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, while overseeing client health, delivery quality, and escalation management across the portfolio.
- • Partner with the CEO to ensure client service is scalable, consistent, and excellent, building repeatable processes, best practices, and accountability across the client-facing team.
- • Own cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting, develop KPIs and dashboards that drive decisions, and present to boards, investors, and lenders.
- • Guide capital strategy and transaction support (M&A, financing, etc.), partner on tax strategy in real time, and set the standard for client communication, strategic guidance, and financial leadership.
- • Work fully remotely in PST hours with exposure to multiple industries and growth-stage companies, including cannabis, construction, healthcare, SaaS, and ecommerce.
- • Be part of a modern, tech-enabled finance model that builds finance functions that scale, not just "do the books."
- • Influence strategy beyond reporting, work with entrepreneurial businesses, and drive real-time financial decision-making based on current data.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years in accounting or finance leadership
- • Experience as a CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance leader
- • Strong modeling, forecasting, and strategic thinking skills
- • Ability to translate numbers into business decisions
- • Comfortable managing multiple clients in a fast-paced environment
- • CPA preferred but not required
