- • Senior Fraud Engineer responsible for owning end-to-end integrations of critical fraud, risk, safety, and security controls within the World App ecosystem, ensuring enforcement is robust without negatively impacting user experience.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include integrating Face Auth (liveness detection), the Fraud Risk Engine, operations response systems, SDK/APIs with external providers, and client-platform features (Android/iOS) to prevent misuse; advocating for users by partnering with data and fraud/risk analytics teams to reduce false positives; collaborating with Product teams to improve UX; reviewing engineering changes affecting these systems; and implementing strict access controls and data minimization practices.
- • The App team is central to World’s mission of building a trusted human network in the age of AI, enabling users to join the World network, participate in decentralized finance via World App, and use World ID to unlock ecosystem services; the team works at the intersection of application functionality and safety systems to protect users and the network.
- • This role offers the opportunity to shape the security and integrity of a rapidly growing global identity network used by over 17 million people across 160 countries, gain deep expertise in fraud prevention systems at the intersection of mobile, backend, and cryptography, and contribute to a mission-driven team from elite tech backgrounds (OpenAI, Tesla, SpaceX, etc.) tackling one of AI’s biggest challenges: distinguishing real humans from bots.
