Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Grant Street Group as a Senior Front-End Developer and take ownership of the user experience for mission-critical SaaS applications that power tax collection, electronic payments, and multi-billion-dollar bond auctions. Your code will be used by government agencies, financial institutions, and Fortune 500 companies, giving you direct influence over products that move real money and serve millions of citizens.
- • Architect and deliver green-field features from whiteboard to production in a company that trusts engineers to make engineering decisions. You will evaluate and adopt new technologies, define best practices for the front-end guild, and set architectural direction for a brand-new component framework that will be reused across every product line.
- • Build embeddable UI widgets comparable to Stripe Elements—secure, themeable, and drop-in components that external clients can integrate with a single script tag. You will own the full lifecycle: API design with OpenAPI, accessibility compliance, performance budgets, automated visual regression testing, and semantic versioning for public distribution.
- • Champion quality through rigorous automated testing. Write comprehensive Jest unit tests that cover edge cases and business logic, then layer on Playwright browser-automation suites that run in parallel across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on every pull request. You will define testing standards that raise the bar for the entire engineering organization.
- • Collaborate in tight, cross-functional squads alongside UX designers and business analysts who sit in the same (virtual) room. Participate in daily design critiques, rapid prototyping sessions, and user-story refinements that keep the entire team laser-focused on solving the right problem for the customer.
- • Provide technical leadership by mentoring mid-level developers, conducting code reviews that emphasize readability and maintainability, and presenting lunch-and-learn sessions on advanced TypeScript patterns, performance tuning, or emerging web standards. Your guidance will shape the next generation of Grant Street engineers.
- • Optimize for performance at scale. Our bond-auction dashboards stream real-time price feeds to thousands of concurrent users; you will profile bundle sizes, implement code-splitting strategies with Webpack or Vite, and leverage server-side rendering to hit sub-second load times on mobile networks.
- • Embrace a remote-first culture that prizes outcomes over hours. Work from anywhere in the United States with a schedule you control, while still enjoying the camaraderie of two annual in-person summits—one week each of strategic planning, team building, and deep-dive hackathons in exciting locations.
- • Influence product strategy with data. Instrument user interactions, run A/B tests, and present findings to executive leadership. Your insights will directly shape the roadmap and determine which features ship next.
- • Keep security front-of-mind. Our applications handle sensitive financial data, so you will implement Content Security Policies, guard against XSS and CSRF, and partner with our InfoSec team to achieve SOC 2 compliance and pass rigorous third-party penetration tests.
