We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Front End Engineer to play a crucial role in shaping the future of our core product offering within the Insurtech space.
• In this pivotal position, you will collaborate extensively with a dynamic team of UX designers, frontend and backend engineers, and product managers. Your contributions will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our production-grade web applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-centric.
• You will be a key player in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and ongoing maintenance. This includes taking initiative on new features, actively participating in technical discussions, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software.
• A significant aspect of your role will involve managing stakeholder relationships, including those with Customer Experience Business Analysts (CX BA). Your ability to effectively communicate, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable development tasks will be vital for project success.
• You will have the opportunity to influence product roadmaps and strategic direction. By providing technical insights and understanding user needs, you will help guide the evolution of our platform to meet market demands and drive innovation.
• Close collaboration with our UX design function is essential. You will work hand-in-hand with designers to translate user flows and wireframes into intuitive and engaging user interfaces, ensuring a seamless and impactful user experience.
• Your technical responsibilities will include developing and maintaining full-stack Typescript production-grade web applications. You will leverage your deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, particularly React and Redux, to build robust and performant features.
• You will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding and application of agile development methodologies. Contributing to an efficient, collaborative, and iterative development process will be key to our team's success.
• Working closely with backend engineers is a core part of the role. You will consult on critical aspects like contract design for APIs, ensuring that the interfaces between frontend and backend systems are well-defined, efficient, and fit for purpose.
• A keen eye for detail and a genuine empathy for the end-user are paramount. You will be encouraged to put yourself in the user's shoes, anticipating their needs and challenges to deliver truly impactful user experiences that drive adoption and satisfaction.
• You will contribute to the architectural decisions and best practices within the frontend team, helping to establish and maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant commercial experience in building and maintaining full-stack JavaScript production-grade web applications.
• Hands-on commercial experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, specifically React and Redux.
• Demonstrated understanding of the functional programming paradigm and its practical application, alongside other relevant design patterns.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, coupled with comfort and capability in working autonomously.
• Experience working with APIs and services, including integration with third-party providers and SDKs.
• Ability to operate effectively with incomplete information, identify knowledge gaps, and proactively close them with a strong focus on delivery, while clearly communicating any associated risks.
