- • As a Senior Front End Engineer on the Chat/Portal team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing Front’s customer support tooling—specifically its chat systems, portal platform, and chatbot automations—enabling seamless, scalable, and context-rich B2B customer interactions for over 9,000 global clients including Uber Freight, Navan, and Stripe.
- • Your work will directly impact how businesses manage complex customer relationships at scale, ensuring that every conversation, tool, and team remains synchronized so companies can grow without losing connection.
- • Day to day, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to conceptualize, design, implement, test, and launch new features and integrations that extend Front’s self-serve support capabilities, focusing on usability, performance, and reliability.
- • You will lead technical discussions on project scope, assess complexity and risk, manage cross-team dependencies, mentor junior engineers, and uphold a high standard of code quality and architectural integrity within a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- • You will develop primarily in a modern JavaScript stack, leveraging TypeScript, Node.js, and React to build real-time, responsive web applications that power Front’s chat and portal experiences.
- • You will contribute to a culture of technical excellence by advocating for pragmatic solutions, participating in code reviews, and continuously improving test coverage, observability, and deployment practices.

- • Proven experience delivering product-focused features, enhancements, and new products from concept to launch in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
