- • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance frontend applications that serve millions of travelers across 200+ countries and regions on Airalo’s eSIM platform.
- • Own the end-to-end delivery of frontend features, from concept and design to deployment and monitoring, ensuring seamless user experiences across web and mobile interfaces.
- • Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces.
- • Architect and implement reusable, modular UI components that adhere to enterprise-grade standards for performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- • Optimize application speed, responsiveness, and reliability under high traffic loads, ensuring consistent performance across diverse global networks and devices.
- • Lead technical initiatives to modernize the frontend codebase, adopting best practices in state management, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- • Mentor junior and mid-level frontend engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing to elevate team-wide engineering standards.
- • Participate in technical planning and roadmap discussions to align frontend development with company-wide goals for scalability and global expansion.
- • Integrate frontend systems with backend APIs, carrier connectivity services, and third-party tools to enable real-time eSIM activation, usage tracking, and customer support workflows.
- • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusive design principles for a global user base.
- • Monitor application performance using analytics and observability tools to identify bottlenecks, reduce latency, and improve user retention.
- • Contribute to the evolution of design systems and component libraries to maintain consistency and efficiency across all customer-facing products.
- • Advocate for user-centered design by collaborating with product managers and UX researchers to prioritize features that directly impact traveler connectivity and satisfaction.
- • Take ownership of production incidents related to frontend systems, leading root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to minimize recurrence.
- • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends, evaluating their applicability to Airalo’s platform while maintaining stability and security.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional frontend development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
- • Proven track record of building and scaling high-traffic, globally accessible web applications
- • Deep understanding of performance optimization, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility
- • Experience working in a fully remote, cross-functional engineering team
- • Strong ability to mentor engineers and drive technical best practices
- • Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and third-party services
