📋 Description

• Senior Frontend Engineer role focused on building and maintaining high-quality, reusable, and testable frontend systems for Toptal’s internal products using TypeScript, React, and GraphQL within a monorepo.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing frontend features, reviewing peer code, mentoring teammates, improving team processes, identifying technical debt, and contributing to product and architectural decisions.
• Toptal is a global, fully remote talent network with over $200M in annual revenue, connecting top freelancers in business, design, and technology with companies worldwide; the team operates asynchronously across time zones with a culture of innovation, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
• In this role, you will gain deep expertise in scalable frontend architectures, influence team processes and technical direction, mentor peers, and grow into a technical leader shaping the evolution of Toptal’s internal tooling and engineering practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend web development experience
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Apollo GraphQL, and Jest
• Experience with Next.js, monorepo, and Progressive Web Apps (strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of functional programming, clean code, and testing best practices
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively, mentor others, and improve team processes
