📋 Description

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer at LiveKit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the developer experience for voice AI applications used by industry leaders like OpenAI, Salesforce, and Spotify, directly impacting how thousands of companies build, deploy, and scale real-time voice agents in production.
• You will own and evolve core product surfaces including the Cloud Dashboard, Session Analytics, Agent Insights, billing, and account management, translating complex infrastructure into intuitive, high-performance interfaces that empower developers worldwide.
• Working within a small, high-impact frontend team, you’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver polished, scalable features using a cutting-edge stack of React, Next.js (App Router, Server Components), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and protobuf-generated clients.
• Your day-to-day will involve building and refining responsive, data-heavy UIs with real-time streaming capabilities, contributing to a shared design system, integrating with backend gRPC-web services, and extending platform functionality via third-party APIs in analytics, authentication, and billing.
• You’ll have end-to-end ownership of features—from concept to deployment—enjoying significant autonomy to make technical decisions, improve performance, and champion accessibility and code quality across LiveKit Cloud’s web properties.
• This role offers deep technical growth in modern frontend architecture, exposure to AI infrastructure at scale, and the chance to influence both product direction and engineering culture in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience building production web applications with React and Next.js, including App Router, Server Components, and server actions
• Proficiency in writing clean, type-safe TypeScript with strong opinions on component architecture, state management, and data fetching patterns
• Experience building or contributing to design systems and component libraries
• Product-minded mindset with ability to think holistically about user workflows, edge cases, and interconnected surfaces
• Strong focus on performance, accessibility, and polish, with a track record of shipping high-detail, production-ready features
• Experience working with real-time or data-heavy UIs and understanding the challenges of rendering dynamic, streaming content
