- • Own the full lifecycle of product features—from whiteboard sketch to production deployment—while setting architectural direction for a fast-growing platform used by thousands of teams.
- • Architect and deliver pixel-perfect, responsive React interfaces that feel native on desktop, tablet, and mobile, leveraging TypeScript, modern CSS-in-JS, and accessibility best practices to ensure every user interaction is smooth and inclusive.
- • Design and evolve RESTful and GraphQL APIs in Node.js or Python that power real-time collaboration, AI-driven workflows, and high-throughput data processing, all while maintaining sub-100 ms latency at global scale.
- • Embed state-of-the-art AI agents (LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuned models) directly into customer-facing features—think smart drafting, contextual search, and automated task orchestration—so users get superpowers without leaving the app.
- • Champion reliability: instrument code with OpenTelemetry, set SLOs/SLAs, build canary pipelines, and lead incident retrospectives to keep uptime above 99.9 % and MTTR under 15 minutes.
- • Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and data scientists in short, focused sprints; run design reviews, give thoughtful PR feedback, and pair program to raise the collective bar for code quality and user empathy.
- • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through architecture deep dives, lunch-and-learn sessions, and career-growth plans, fostering a culture of curiosity, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
- • Contribute to open-source initiatives that surround our stack—whether it’s upstream fixes to React Query, new ESLint rules, or internal tooling—so the wider community benefits from the patterns we pioneer.
- • Explore green-field initiatives such as browser extensions that surface contextual AI insights inside Gmail & Slack, or lightweight desktop wrappers (Electron/Tauri) for power users who live outside the browser.
- • Optimize build and deploy pipelines: Docker multi-stage builds, GitHub Actions, Terraform-driven infrastructure on AWS, and feature-flag rollouts that let us ship to prod multiple times a day with zero downtime.
- • Keep security front-of-mind: threat-model new features, run automated dependency scanning, and partner with our security lead to maintain SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance without slowing delivery.
- • Translate customer feedback into actionable engineering tasks—join user interviews, analyze product analytics, and iterate rapidly so that every release delivers measurable delight and business impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Expert-level proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript with a portfolio of shipped, user-facing features.
- • Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs in Node.js, Python, or similar server-side stacks.
- • Demonstrated success incorporating AI/LLM agents or workflows into production software, including prompt engineering and model fine-tuning.
- • Solid track record of owning production systems: monitoring, alerting, debugging, and achieving high availability targets.
- • Nice to have: hands-on experience building browser extensions or desktop applications with Electron, Qt, or Tauri.
- • Nice to have: familiarity with AWS (or equivalent) cloud services, containerization with Docker, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
