📋 Description
- • Senior Full-Stack Engineer role at NextLink Labs LLC, a fast-growing technology firm specializing in helping clients build, scale, and secure software applications through expert consulting. This position is critical to delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable web solutions for diverse clients while driving internal improvements in engineering practices and thought leadership.
- • You will architect and implement end-to-end features using Ruby on Rails and React, modernize legacy systems by identifying and remediating technical debt, mentor junior engineers, collaborate closely with clients to translate business needs into technical solutions, and contribute to internal best practices, documentation, and marketing initiatives that elevate the company’s technical reputation.
- • NextLink Labs operates as a remote-first, inclusive organization with team members across Uruguay, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where engineers are empowered to take ownership, grow professionally, and maintain work-life balance while contributing to meaningful client outcomes.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development, client consulting, and technical leadership; gain experience in shaping engineering standards and thought leadership through blogs and webinars; and grow into a trusted advisor who influences both client success and internal innovation at a scaling tech consultancy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience building web applications with strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React or equivalent frameworks
- • Ability to work independently, take ownership of software engagements, and scope features or full projects based on client requests
- • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to build client buy-in, facilitate compromise, and guide expectations effectively
- • Strong unit-testing and debugging abilities using RSpec/Minitest and Jest/RTL, plus proficiency with Git version control
- • Understanding of accessibility, security compliance, scalable application design principles, and experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, and background job systems like Sidekiq/Active Job
