📋 Description

• Senior Full-Stack Engineer role at NextLink Labs LLC, a fast-growing remote-first technology consulting firm focused on helping clients build, scale, and secure software applications; this position is critical to delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable web solutions while mentoring junior talent and shaping internal engineering practices.
• The role centers on end-to-end feature development using Ruby on Rails and React, technical debt remediation, client collaboration, and contributing to thought leadership and internal best practices to elevate the company’s consulting standards.

• In this role, you will architect and implement full-stack solutions for diverse client applications, directly engage with clients to gather feedback and demonstrate progress, and lead efforts to modernize legacy systems by identifying and resolving technical debt through pragmatic refactoring and improved testing practices.
• You will participate in agile workflows including weekly stand-ups, conduct thorough code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge, and contribute to internal documentation, code templates, and engineering standards that promote consistency and excellence across teams.
• Beyond coding, you will mentor junior engineers, advocate for accessibility and security compliance, and help shape scalable application design principles while working with PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, REST/GraphQL APIs, and background job systems like Sidekiq or Active Job.
• You will also support business development by joining scoping calls with Sales and Marketing, providing technical feasibility insights, and representing NextLink Labs through thought leadership activities such as blog posts, webinars, and marketing content.
• This position offers significant autonomy and ownership, allowing you to influence both client outcomes and internal processes, with opportunities to grow into technical leadership while working on meaningful, impactful projects in a supportive, innovation-driven culture.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building web applications with strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React or equivalent frameworks
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of software engagements, and scope features and full projects based on client requirements
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to build client buy-in, facilitate compromise, and guide expectations effectively
• Strong unit-testing and debugging abilities using RSpec/Minitest and Jest/RTL, plus proficiency with Git for version control
• Understanding of accessibility, security compliance, scalable application design principles, and experience with APIs (REST/GraphQL), relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and background jobs (Sidekiq/Active Job)
