- • Senior Full Stack Software Engineer role focused on building Python-based backend services and microservices on AWS, contributing to Lennar’s mission of delivering quality homes and exceptional customer experiences as a Fortune 500 homebuilder.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Python backend services using FastAPI/Django, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic; building event-driven workflows with Kafka or SQS/SNS; participating in agile ceremonies; mentoring junior engineers; and driving features from concept to completion with ownership and technical excellence.
- • Join Lennar’s Product Engineering team, a collaborative group within a leading national homebuilder recognized for innovation, quality, and associate growth, where technology enables better homebuilding and customer experiences.
- • Opportunity to deepen expertise in modern cloud-native backend architecture, lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and shape the evolution of Lennar’s product platform while working on impactful systems that support homeowners, communities, and associates.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with strong focus on Python (FastAPI or Django)
- • Solid experience with PostgreSQL: schema design, ORM usage (SQLAlchemy preferred), and query optimization
- • Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and service communication patterns
- • Experience with event-driven architecture and message streaming (Kafka, SQS/SNS, or equivalent)
- • Proficiency writing clean, maintainable code with type annotations, linting (Ruff/mypy), and test coverage (pytest)
- • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- • Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, and agile development practices
- • Excellent problem-solving skills with detail-oriented approach and strong sense of ownership
- • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in collaborative team environment
- • AWS experience a plus — particularly ECS/Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, and Secrets Manager
- • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform) and observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry) a plus
