📋 Description

• Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Corgi, leading the design and development of systems powering insurance operations and internal tools in a vertically integrated AI-driven insurance company.
• Design, build, and maintain critical internal and customer-facing software systems; lead backend services, APIs, and scalable infrastructure; own major projects from architecture to deployment; work across the stack to ship features rapidly; partner with operations, finance, underwriting, and leadership to automate workflows; improve system reliability, performance, security, and scalability; make architectural decisions; mentor engineers; and help shape engineering organization direction.
• Corgi is rebuilding the insurance industry from the ground up using AI, designing, underwriting, pricing, and issuing insurance directly without brokers or third-party administrators; backed by $268M from Kindred, TCV, and others; operates with high talent density, meritocracy, and 6-7 day in-office workweeks in London.
• Opportunity to own business-critical systems, work directly with senior leadership, gain high visibility and ownership from day one, mentor peers, influence technical direction, and help define insurance infrastructure in the AI era while building foundational systems for a new kind of insurance company.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering work experience
• Experience with Typescript, Python, React, FastAPI, Django, Flask, and AWS
• Strong experience designing distributed systems and scalable applications
• Experience owning production systems and making architectural decisions
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases, and modern development practices
• Exceptional software engineering fundamentals and high ownership mindset
