- • Lead frontend architecture decisions for React and TypeScript interfaces powering Astra’s payments dashboard, reporting surfaces, and embedded product experiences
- • Design and implement intuitive, accessible user interfaces that translate complex financial workflows into clear, usable experiences
- • Own the development and scaling of a shared frontend platform including component libraries, tooling, and design patterns used across the engineering team
- • Build and extend Python APIs that support frontend features, collaborating with backend engineers on data contracts, API design, and integration patterns
- • Participate in system design discussions with a product-quality perspective, contributing to both frontend and backend architecture decisions
- • Establish and maintain frontend best practices, code standards, and review processes to ensure quality and consistency across a growing team
- • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance, fostering a culture of high-quality frontend development
- • Partner with product and design teams to refine requirements, challenge unclear scope, and improve UX clarity for financial workflows
- • Build and improve internal tools used by operations, compliance, and payments teams, ensuring high reliability and usability across all surfaces
- • Contribute to end-to-end feature delivery from data layer to user interface, owning the full lifecycle of features impacting both external clients and internal stakeholders
- • Maintain high standards for performance, scalability, and accessibility across all frontend surfaces as transaction volume and user base grow
- • Drive adoption of testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and automated quality controls to ensure robustness of frontend and backend systems
- • Work within a remote-first, collaborative engineering team that values clarity, initiative, and shared ownership of product outcomes
- • Contribute to the evolution of Astra’s financial infrastructure by building interfaces that make complex compliance and payment systems feel simple and reliable for users
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant frontend ownership
- • Strong production experience in React and TypeScript
- • Enough backend range to build and extend APIs independently, Python experience preferred
- • Demonstrated ability to own features end to end, from data layer to UI
- • Experience working in a collaborative team with shared codebases and code review culture
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
