📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of Unybrands’ next-generation e-commerce platform, serving thousands of micro-brands across global markets. You will design, build, and scale systems that process millions of product listings, orders, and customer interactions every month, directly influencing the growth trajectory of small businesses worldwide.
• • Lead cross-functional squads (product, design, data, growth) in a fully-remote environment spanning Miami, Berlin, London, New York, and China. You’ll facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring tight alignment between technical execution and business objectives while fostering an inclusive, high-trust culture across time zones.
• • Architect resilient, cloud-native microservices on AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, EventBridge) with TypeScript/Node.js on the backend and React/Next.js on the frontend. You will enforce best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK), automated testing, and observability, driving 99.9% uptime and sub-second page loads for storefronts.
• • Build and evolve a unified data layer that aggregates marketplace, logistics, and marketing data into real-time analytics dashboards. Your APIs will power machine-learning models for demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, and personalized recommendations, enabling micro-brands to compete with retail giants.
• • Implement headless commerce capabilities (GraphQL, REST, webhooks) that allow external developers and partners to integrate seamlessly. You will design public SDKs, maintain clear documentation, and nurture an ecosystem of apps that extend the platform’s value.
• • Champion performance, security, and accessibility standards. You’ll conduct code reviews, threat-modeling sessions, and WCAG audits, ensuring every storefront is fast, secure, and inclusive for shoppers on any device or network.
• • Mentor a distributed team of mid-level and junior engineers through pair programming, architecture guilds, and career-development plans. You’ll craft technical roadmaps, set measurable OKRs, and celebrate wins that keep morale high and turnover low.
• • Drive continuous experimentation and A/B testing across checkout flows, search ranking, and marketing automation. You will instrument feature flags, analyze cohort data, and iterate rapidly—turning insights into revenue gains for our brands.
• • Collaborate with finance and operations to optimize cloud spend and vendor contracts. You’ll implement cost-allocation tags, right-size resources, and negotiate enterprise discounts, saving millions while maintaining performance.
• • Represent Unybrands at global tech conferences, open-source communities, and recruiting events. You’ll share case studies on scaling e-commerce at the edge, attracting top talent and reinforcing our reputation as an engineering-first company.
