- • As a Senior Growth Engineer at Headlight Labs, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to redefine the agency model by building cutting-edge measurement and optimization systems for digital marketing campaigns, directly impacting client ROI and campaign performance through technical excellence in attribution, data engineering, and analytics.
- • You will advise clients and internal media teams on implementing accurate event tracking across platforms like Meta’s Conversions API, Google Enhanced Conversions, and TikTok Events API, ensuring data integrity from the point of collection through to analysis and reporting.
- • You will design, validate, and maintain robust web and mobile analytics pipelines using Google Tag Manager and Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, and Branch, troubleshooting discrepancies and ensuring seamless data flow across web, app, eCommerce (e.g., Shopify), and CRM (e.g., Salesforce) systems.
- • You will lead the design, execution, and analysis of matched-market (geo-lift) incrementality tests using Meta’s GeoLift library and Jupyter notebooks, contributing to rigorous experimentation frameworks that isolate the true impact of marketing efforts.
- • You will support Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) initiatives by preparing data, interpreting model outputs, and creating client-facing presentations that translate complex analytical findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
- • You will build and maintain data ingestion pipelines and API integrations using Python on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging dbt and SQL in BigQuery to transform raw data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets.
- • You will create interactive BI dashboards in Looker and develop custom visualizations using HTML/CSS/JS and Vue, enabling stakeholders to explore performance metrics intuitively and drive data-informed decisions.
- • You will implement OAuth endpoints, web callbacks, and REST API integrations in Python to support data synchronization between advertising platforms, internal systems, and client environments, ensuring secure and scalable data exchange.
- • You will operate with high autonomy in a fully remote, lean team spanning multiple time zones, communicating clearly and proactively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients, to gather requirements, present findings, and iterate on solutions.
- • You will continuously deepen your expertise in the evolving marketing technology landscape, gaining hands-on experience with emerging tools like Meta’s Robyn, Google’s Meridian, and lightweight MMM frameworks, while contributing to a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- • You will grow into a trusted advisor who bridges engineering and marketing, influencing how Headlight designs, measures, and optimizes campaigns at scale — positioning yourself as a leader in the next generation of growth engineering.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in a marketing technology role such as marketing engineering, solutions engineering at a marketing technology company, or marketing analytics engineering.
- • Deep, hands-on understanding of marketing attribution across web and app environments, including direct experience configuring and working with Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) like AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, or Kochava.
- • Strong understanding of incrementality testing via matched-market (geo-lift) experimentation, with proven experience designing or executing such tests using tools like Meta’s GeoLift library.
- • Exposure to Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) concepts, tools, or platforms, with ability to support data preparation and interpret model outputs.
- • Proficiency in SQL and Python, including experience writing analytical queries, building data pipelines, and managing Python-based software projects.
- • Experience with version control (Git), web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS, HTTP, REST APIs), and cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
- • Comfortable communicating technical findings and requirements directly to clients in a clear, professional, and consultative manner.
