  • • As a Senior Growth Engineer at Headlight Labs, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to redefine the agency model by building cutting-edge measurement and optimization systems for digital marketing campaigns, directly impacting how clients attribute, test, and scale their advertising performance across web and mobile ecosystems.
  • • Your work will bridge technical depth and client impact, ensuring that marketing strategies are grounded in reliable data, rigorous experimentation, and actionable insights — making you a trusted advisor to both internal media buying teams and external clients navigating complex attribution landscapes.
  • • Day to day, you will advise clients and media buying teams on channel event instrumentation requirements, including implementing Meta’s Conversions API (CAPI), Google Enhanced Conversions, TikTok Events API, and other platform-specific integrations to ensure accurate data capture across advertising channels.
  • • You will validate and architect web and app analytics event pipelines using Google Tag Manager and Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, and Branch, ensuring end-to-end data fidelity from user interaction to reporting.
  • • You will design, execute, and analyze matched-market (geo-lift) incrementality tests using Meta’s GeoLift library and ML tooling in Jupyter notebooks, providing clients with causal insights into campaign effectiveness beyond correlation.
  • • You will contribute to Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) initiatives by preparing data, interpreting model outputs, and supporting client-facing presentations that translate complex statistical findings into strategic recommendations.
  • • You will write and maintain data ingest pipelines and API integrations using Python on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), build BI dashboards in Looker, and develop SQL-based data transformations in dbt on BigQuery to enable scalable, reliable analytics infrastructure.
  • • You will troubleshoot data discrepancies across web, app, eCommerce (e.g., Shopify), and CRM (e.g., Salesforce) systems, integrating these with advertising channel APIs to ensure unified reporting and audience targeting.
  • • You will implement custom BI visualizations using HTML/CSS/JS + Vue and develop OAuth endpoints, web callbacks, and API integrations in Python to support seamless data flow between marketing platforms and internal systems.
  • • You will operate within a fully remote, low-ego, high-trust culture spanning the U.S. and Canada, where direct accountability, clear asynchronous communication, and proactive ownership are expected and valued.
  • • You will collaborate with a team of passionate marketing technologists who are deeply curious about the evolving landscape of digital advertising, giving you continuous opportunities to learn, innovate, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in marketing measurement and optimization.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in a marketing technology role such as marketing engineering, solutions engineering at a marketing technology company, marketing analytics engineering, or a comparable position deeply embedded in the marketing technology ecosystem.
  • • Deep, hands-on understanding of marketing attribution across web and app environments, including direct experience configuring and working with Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, or Kochava.
  • • Strong understanding of incrementality testing via matched-market / geo-lift experimentation, with hands-on experience designing or executing such tests using tools like Meta’s GeoLift library.
  • • Exposure to Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) concepts, tools, or platforms, with ability to support data preparation and interpret model outputs.
  • • Proficiency in SQL and Python, including experience writing analytical queries, managing Python-based software projects, and developing API integrations.
  • • Experience with version control (Git), web technologies (HTTP, HTML/CSS/JS, REST APIs), and cloud platforms (preferably GCP, but AWS or similar acceptable).
  • • Comfortable communicating findings, presenting results, soliciting requirements, and receiving feedback directly from clients in a professional, clear, and consultative manner.
