  • • Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees in the UK and across global Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements, acting as the main point of escalation for international employee inquiries.
  • • Own the end-to-end administration of international hires, including generating offer letters, managing employment contracts, and executing onboarding workflows while ensuring compliance with country-specific legal requirements.
  • • Administer employee benefits across multiple EOR providers, identify coverage gaps, and recommend improvements as Coder transitions from EOR to a direct UK legal entity this summer.
  • • Play a foundational role in establishing the UK employment infrastructure by collaborating with legal, finance, and US-based HR leadership to build a compliant, scalable HR framework for the London entity.
  • • Act as the internal subject matter expert on UK employment law, including contracts, right to work verification, statutory leave entitlements, termination procedures, and local workplace norms.
  • • Advise the US-based HR Manager and global People leadership on international compliance risks, proactively identifying and escalating potential legal or operational issues across EOR jurisdictions.
  • • Maintain current knowledge of employment regulations in all countries where Coder uses EOR services, ensuring ongoing adherence to local labor standards and statutory obligations.
  • • Manage and maintain accurate international employee data within Rippling and/or Deel, ensuring system integrity for audits, reporting, and HR analytics.
  • • Partner with the HR Coordinator to distribute and streamline administrative tasks across the UK and global HR operations, defining clear ownership and reducing duplication of effort.
  • • Resolve employee questions related to payroll, benefits, policies, leave requests, and contractual terms, providing timely and accurate guidance grounded in local law and company policy.
  • • Identify, design, and implement process improvements for international onboarding, ongoing employment administration, and offboarding workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • • Ensure all HR documentation, communications, and systems are aligned with UK and international regulatory requirements, including data privacy and labor law compliance.
  • • Support the transition from EOR to direct employment in the UK by coordinating with internal teams to define new policies, benefits structures, and HR systems for the London entity.
  • • Collaborate across time zones with the US-based HR team to align on global People strategy, ensuring consistent execution of HR practices while respecting regional legal and cultural differences.
  • • Contribute to the long-term evolution of this role into the UK and EMEA People Lead, laying the groundwork for future team growth and HR maturity in the region.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in HR or People Operations with significant focus on UK and/or international employment practices
  • • Hands-on experience using Rippling and/or Deel for international HR administration
  • • Solid working knowledge of UK employment law including contracts, right to work, statutory leave, and termination requirements
  • • Ability to work autonomously as the sole HR presence in London and collaborate effectively across time zones
  • • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to detect compliance risks in contracts or processes before implementation
  • • Strong collaborative skills with experience partnering with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and global HR
