- • Own the end-to-end compliance roadmap for a rapidly-scaling, remote-first workforce platform that is redefining how flexible work gets done. You will architect, implement and continuously refine a global HR compliance framework that protects both workers and the business across every jurisdiction where Indeedflex operates.
- • Translate complex, ever-shifting employment legislation into clear, actionable policies and playbooks that can be executed by distributed teams in minutes, not weeks. Your work will directly determine whether thousands of hourly workers get paid correctly, on time and without legal risk.
- • Build and maintain a living matrix of statutory requirements covering wage & hour, worker classification, benefits eligibility, leave entitlements, health & safety, data privacy and anti-discrimination laws for the US, UK and EU markets, with expansion plans into APAC and LATAM in the next 18 months.
- • Partner with Product, Engineering and Data Science to embed compliance controls directly into the platform’s matching, scheduling and payment algorithms, ensuring that every automated decision is defensible in court and aligned with local labor codes.
- • Serve as the primary escalation point for high-stakes compliance incidents—misclassification claims, wage theft allegations, multi-state audits, GDPR data requests—owning root-cause analysis, remediation plans and executive-level reporting within 24 hours of trigger.
- • Design and deliver quarterly compliance training for hundreds of frontline recruiters, account managers and client success managers, turning dense regulatory language into memorable, scenario-based micro-lessons that reduce error rates and boost worker trust.
- • Lead cross-functional “compliance sprints” that bring together Legal, Finance, Operations and Customer Support to stress-test new product features against emerging regulations (e.g., EU Platform Work Directive, California AB 5, UK IR35) before they reach the market.
- • Establish and monitor a suite of predictive risk indicators—shift patterns, payment anomalies, worker churn—that surface potential violations weeks before they become lawsuits, fines or brand-damaging headlines.
- • Manage external counsel, auditors and government inspectors as a single point of contact, negotiating scope, timelines and deliverables while safeguarding proprietary data and maintaining a collaborative, transparent posture.
- • Champion a culture of ethical labor practices across the organization, publishing transparent compliance scorecards, hosting open forums for worker feedback and ensuring Indeedflex remains the employer of choice in the flexible-work economy.
- • Influence C-suite strategy by translating regulatory trends into quantified business risks and opportunities, enabling data-driven decisions on market entry, pricing models and partnership structures.
- • Mentor a growing team of regional compliance analysts, providing technical guidance, career development plans and leadership opportunities that scale with the company’s global footprint.
