📋 Description

• As a Senior IAM Security Analyst at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, you will play a critical role in safeguarding mission-critical systems and data by leading identity and access management initiatives that protect sensitive healthcare research information from evolving cyber threats.
• You will independently lead security projects, including implementing controls, conducting risk assessments, and optimizing security processes for internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and compliance requirements.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding and mentoring team members on IAM systems and procedures, actively contributing to cross-functional project teams and technical platforms, and participating in meetings to translate business needs into actionable security requirements.
• You will train and educate users and business teams on security controls, processes, and emerging threats, while also mentoring junior staff on new IAM technologies and best practices to strengthen organizational security posture.
• Your work will involve hands-on experience with leading identity platforms such as Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, Ping, Duo, or SecureAuth, including MFA and Conditional Access configurations, as well as Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance tools like SailPoint or Saviynt.
• You will analyze and secure IT environments spanning cloud, SaaS, and on-premises infrastructure, identifying threat vectors and attack surfaces to proactively defend against risks in a high-value healthcare research setting.
• The Identity Team operates within St. Jude’s Information Services Division, a collaborative and agile unit dedicated to protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets that support life-saving research and patient care.

• You will gain exposure to advanced security architectures and lead initiatives that influence enterprise-wide policy, enhancing your leadership and technical credibility in a mission-driven organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related Master’s in technology field preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of demonstrable work experience in security, preferably within the healthcare or research industry.
• Preferred experience with Entra ID MFA/Conditional Access, Okta, Ping, Duo, SecureAuth, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity and Access Governance solutions (SailPoint or Saviynt).
• Demonstrated experience securing IT technology (cloud, SaaS, network/server) with insight into IT risk, threat actors, and attack vectors.
• Certifications such as GSEC, Security+, CIAM, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are required.
